So, you know, there is a huge amount of hypocrisy there.

Farah, can you set out just briefly, just what has happened to domestic violence, helplines, services, shelters over the past sort of 10, 15 years?

I mean, I'm assuming there have been cuts because there have been cuts to services.

And I know that the voluntary and charity sector have particularly suffered.

But can you just paint a picture for our listeners of what has happened?

Yeah, so you spoke there about some of football's biggest tournaments are continuing to feature players who have been charged with sexual offences or awaiting trial.

We have Ghana's Thomas Partey, Morocco's Akraf Hakimi and Cape Verde's Ryan Mendes.

They're all currently facing rape charges or active criminal investigations.

I mean, I guess some clubs would say it's difficult to implement bans if they haven't been found guilty.

You know, we have legal due process.

But do you think there is enough going on in the football world to kind of get a grip on the epidemic of violence against women and girls?

We know that football has a huge male audience.

It seems to me like that could be it.

absolutely ample um strategy to try and tap into groups of men and say you know what are we doing about sexual violence as a community how can we encourage you guys to to take ownership of this issue and to help bring an end to violence against women and girls what what would you like to see football clubs do more of in order to try and get that message across

Farah, before I let you go, earlier we were discussing the horrible news of Anne Widdicombe's death, which is now being handled by anti-terrorism police.

And while this is still an ongoing investigation, it obviously got us thinking a little bit about the contradictions that women face living in an attention economy where visibility is almost essential for many people's work.

But at the same time, that visibility often comes with abuse.

I'd love to get your thoughts on just how...

Closely, online abuse and being visible online is linked to real-life harm against women.

Well, I mean, if I had enough time, I would have liked to ask Farah almost exactly that, which is that often we talk about how to identify potential victims or survivors of domestic violence.
