So, for example, in a workplace, you might find that there's guidance about if you think that somebody potentially

is experiencing domestic violence or is in danger.

Here's what to do.

Here's how to identify them.

Here's how to speak to them.

Here's how to, you know, to point them to various services.

But should we, you know, is there value in actually having a bit of a rethink about how do we identify perpetrators?

Do we need almost training on what are the things we should look for in the people around us that might be red flags as to anger or the way that they speak to their partner?

And, you know, should there be more attention paid to,

how we call out, as you say, that bad behaviour, but not just call out, what do we actually do about it?

Because I think a lot of people might say they know somebody in their lives who exhibits problematic behaviour, but we don't actually know what to do.

And it's far easier to compartmentalise and say, oh, domestic violence, I care about it, but it's something that happens over there.

It's not something that I might have any understanding of or

you know, I might not know any perpetrator or victims.

I think we need to be more aware of the fact that it is everywhere.

And I think that the real, the really amazing thing about Giselle Pellico was the fact that she waived her right to anonymity so that she could have all her perpetrators named publicly.

So she could show that this wasn't just one type of individual.

Actually,

perpetrators exist across society in all different types of jobs, all different religions, races, ages, you know, classes.

She was trying to make the point that this is everywhere and this can happen to anyone.
