I think there's a few things here.
There's firstly the question of what does Keir Starmer want to get out of this visit to China?
So I think ultimately, if he can come back with the least amount of drama possible, that in itself would be a win.
I think what he wants is some economic wins.
More sort of diplomatic normalization.
So this idea that the UK can communicate with China.
It doesn't have to be this big deal, which I think is, you know, that's pretty wishful thinking, considering there's a lot of hawkishness, which, you know, you could argue is pretty reasonable amongst UK MPs and the UK public.
There's also all the concerns over human rights violations in China.
