The feeling it is for the, it feels like the government are coming after us. And Dean said it perfect yesterday when he was on the podcast. He's like, the people that we fought over, the enemy that we fought over in Afghanistan, they didn't wear suits.
I saw that. I'm sorry, they didn't wear uniforms, but it feels like the enemy that we have now wearing suits in Parliament House.

And when I won my court case, I stood at the front and did a press conference with my lawyers and I said, the hardest battle I've ever had to fight has not been overseas. It's been at home when you're least supported, when you're fighting a battle that you never expected to have and one that directly affects you and your family and all the rest. And look... Ben's case is different. It's huge. It's media organization versus media organization. And it's one huge side, including politicians and all the rest, against him. And I haven't hidden my words to that effect. Just the magnitude that it's been. Deep down, I am glad for him that he now has a chance of this being truly tested to where it should have started, to evidence beyond reasonable doubt in front of a jury.
Arguably, it should be a jury of his peers and in a military system, but this is where we're at. And these journalists who have been allowed to stand up and say, this is about truth, this is about justice, but only have to rely on the balance of probabilities and individual judges. I look forward to them having their day because I cannot.

I remember Nick McKenzie standing at the front of the court with Chris Masters when Ben lost his defamation trial and talking about, this is about truth, this is about justice, this is about accountability for war crimes, et cetera. Yet four of the people who gave evidence on his side of it were granted immunity for their evidence including that they had personally you know killed or tortured or brought harm to people and now that is going to be tested in a criminal court and i cannot wait to see again a whole jury being unanimously convinced to convict ben of a war crime when we don't even have
