What is the episode’s main focus and who is the guest?

Leonardo Zamboni 0:00
Okay, so today I'm gonna be ranking some of the most popular B2B uh SAS home pages and uh give you my thoughts on them. And uh I won't be doing this alone. Uh um I'm joined here by a very very special guest. Yella, head of uh design at Noko. Hello man, how are you? Hello man, how's it going? Good man, how how are you? All good. All good. Thank you.
Jelle Bot 0:24
Nice. Oh good. When you came back from uh from Italy.
Leonardo Zamboni 0:32
Oh it was uh really, really snowy actually. Snow everywhere. Was uh yeah. It was kinda cute. I haven't seen snow for a while actually since that moment. Uh uh, so it was uh it was cool. Really, really cool. Yeah, it's been a while here as well. I think like four or five inches of snow here in the Netherlands was crazy. Yeah. Yeah.
Jelle Bot 0:55
Like all these weather warnings. Uh I mean I'm I'm now renovating my house and uh Yeah, how's it going with that? It goes really well, man. Thanks for asking. It's uh it's going really well. Uh it's almost uh almost completed.

How do the hosts define the ranking criteria for B2B SaaS homepages?

Jelle Bot 1:08
The only thing is like when the snow is there and there's all like warnings and I live like uh what is it, fifty minutes, an hour from uh from my new home. Uh it's not ideal, of course, uh because You know, uh when you need to drive it's it's super slippery. Um yeah, definitely. Oh yeah, definitely. I'm really looking forward uh when this whole snow chapter is uh completed and I can just uh go to the house in a in a normal way. Um but yeah. So we are.
Leonardo Zamboni 1:34
Yeah, definitely. Looking forward also. Me, or that's really
Jelle Bot 1:39
Yeah,
Leonardo Zamboni 1:39
yeah. So today uh shall we start? Today we're gonna be ranking these websites. Um so uh just to give a bit of context before uh we start, um we'll be ranking this uh websites using three main metrics.

Which websites are evaluated first and why does the tier list start with Framer?

Leonardo Zamboni 1:58
Um the first is clarity of value, which is uh basically um means uh how quickly you can understand the products basically um the second one is visual hierarchy and uh it's basically yeah how well the layout guides you uh and your eye uh throughout the entire website basically And the third one is uh interaction quality, which is uh yeah, it's pretty straightforward, I would say. So how well is uh designed in terms of interactivity of websites? Um the grid uh um that we're gonna be ranking about this uh website is gonna uh goes from S to uh F. Uh but I think you already know how that works. And Uh yeah. Guys, let us know in the comments uh if you agree or disagree and uh let's get started, shall we?
Jelle Bot 2:55
We uh we renamed the tears a little bit of course, uh to make it a little bit more uh clear in uh in naming. Uh usually it's uh it's F uh S still F, but right now we uh thought it's better to uh make it god tear versus absolutely garbage. Um yeah, let's start man. Let's get started.
Leonardo Zamboni 3:19
Right. All righty. So We have This websites here. The first one is Pramer, the second one Figma. I think that every designer knows this. Uh Salesforce, Intercom, Linear, Azana, HubSpot, Webflow, Our Partners, and Shopify and Stride. So Um the first one is primer. So partner.
Jelle Bot 3:46
Our partner as well.

What strengths and weaknesses do they find in Framer’s homepage?

Jelle Bot 3:47
Yeah, definitely. Yeah, yeah. Both are enterprise partners from uh from NoCo. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Definitely. So yeah, I mean what do you think, man? First glance, uh really strong big headline. Um and I mean it's the framework, especially when you scroll down, I think this can they can bring up the visual aspect a little bit more, I guess, in this section. Uh however, it depends on what you wanna, you know, wanna emphasize, I guess, in this example they want to emphasize the message, which they do really well. And yeah, when you scroll down you get into this sort of cinematic overview of different websites, like a show reel. And they are all moving as well, which I really like because uh it gives a little bit it gives a you know another dimension to the the you know into the into the website examples.
Leonardo Zamboni 4:39
Yeah, definitely. Definitely. No, I think it's really um Um Yeah, it's a very minimal design, I would say. I love the way that uh um the visual hierarchy here is uh really, really explicit. You can definitely tell how w what what Framer is doing, right? What what is this, what we're talking about. That yeah, we build better sites and faster.
