And clubs have forty eight hours after the official lodgement of paperwork to either uh um match or or accept the free agency movement of their player and in Zach Butter's case there is a restricted element to it. So um how that looks for Ben King. Um Given, according to Cal Burns, he's yet to nominate a club, that being uh the Hawthorne Footy Club. Just on the the Hawks, we we've touched on it already a couple of times in the past two days, John I but The more you cover trade radio and you dive deep into what the the successful clubs do, you've got to make moves in this period.

They've had two failed attempts at him in the past two years. This they'll go a third time and h and in their case, hopefully get him. Uh Ben King, um it it's a good addition to a club that that fell just short. of making the grand final.

Stop them all. And they're gonna they're going to have four players inside 50 that's very, very talented. Um so that's um that's and that's why Sam Mitchell is um is keen to have the acquisition of of King into his footy club. He's changed the whole dynamic, I think since Sam. I think he's been really smart in his approach to how he's how he's looked at things since being a a senior coach of a of of the Hawks and he hasn't been afraid. As he says, that my job here is to make Hawthorne better and um and he's and he's certainly changed the way the competition um has looked at, you know, approaching players, talking to players, um, and in some ways he's still probably in front of that a l a little bit.

But, you know, the up the competition is catching up because of the way Sam, you know, really started this shift in in the way that uh players are targeted in the competition.
