Send us a textOur guest today is Nancy Chin, owner of Pilates Avenue Los Gatos in the city of Los Gatos, California. She is a graduate of the Vintage Pilates program called, The Work. Last summer, Nancy had a life changing experience that impacted her own Pilates practice and gave her an entirely new understanding of the body - especially, the pelvic region. After many years of dealing with an extremely painful hip, Nancy decided to have her hip replaced. I’m not sure if there are statistics that show the number of Pilates instructors who have hip replacements, but I thought Nancy would be the perfect person to take us through the surgery, the post surgical phase and if the Pilates method had assisted in recovering her balance, strength and mobility.
