So today, we are revisiting a case that shocked the country and became one of the most closely followed murder investigations of the 21st century. More than 20 years ago, after the deaths of Lacey Peterson and her unborn son, Connor... The case against Scott Peterson is once again making headlines as new evidence, scientific analysis, and fresh legal arguments raise questions about the original investigation and conviction. So, you guys, we're talking about A&E's Scott Peterson, the new evidence, and I am completely freaked out. I definitely, for years now, I have believed that Scott Peterson murdered Lacey Peterson and their unborn son, Connor.
And after watching this, I got to tell you, I don't think so. I am baffled. I'm upset. I feel bad for Scott Peterson. But what if I'm wrong? What if he did do it? I'm a total mess. But I will tell you that this documentary is so unbelievable and so fascinating. And we're going to talk with Chris Pixley, who is an attorney that made the documentary. Hi, Chris. Hi, Jennifer. Hi. I'm so upset. I feel so bad for Scott Peterson. I have to tell you, and honestly, I had him guilty until about two days ago. And I am so convinced. So did everyone else. Yeah. And I'm convinced that he didn't do it. I hope that the work that you've done here changes things for him. I don't know how hard that's going to be. I don't know in terms of
the legalities of that, but I am dumbfounded. I mean, just shocked by what you presented in this documentary. It's amazing. Well, I'm so appreciative of you saying that. And it was obviously a team of people, and we stood on the shoulders of the work that the Los Angeles Innocence Project has done on this case. You know, they took a very flawed person in Scott Peterson, and they looked deeply at the flawed process and the flawed human beings that brought about a flawed result. And, you know, I You can point the finger in a lot of different directions. The media was involved in it. The criminal investigators were under tremendous pressure because of the media involvement because this thing exploded nationally and then internationally in a matter of days.
You know, you can sort of understand how we came to this place. But until you see the series and you see how all of it developed, I think it's hard to appreciate how many wrong turns were made in the injustice of it. That's right.
