This is an iHeart Podcast. Guaranteed human. What if mind control is real? If you could control the behavior of anybody around you, what kind of life would you have? Can you hypnotically persuade someone to buy a car?
Chapter 2: What significant changes occurred in Minneapolis overnight?
When you look at your car, you're going to become overwhelmed with such good feelings. Can you hypnotize someone into sleeping with you?
I gave her some suggestions to be sexually aroused.
Can you get someone to join your cult? NLP was used on me to access my subconscious. Mind Games, a new podcast exploring NLP, aka neurolinguistic programming. This is Dr. Jesse Mills, host of the Mailroom Podcast. Each January, men promise to get stronger, work harder, and fix what's broken.
Chapter 3: How did President Trump’s phone calls impact the situation?
But what if the real work isn't physical at all? I sat down with psychologist Dr. Steve Poulter to unpack shame, anxiety, and the emotional pain men were never taught how to name.
Part of the way through the valley of despair is realizing this has happened, and you have to make a choice whether you're going to stay in it or move forward. Our two-part conversation is available now.

The ledge was on the TV.

Hey there, folks. It is Tuesday, January 27th, and there is a change in tone, there is a change in strategy, and there is a change in leadership on the streets of Minneapolis. Welcome to this episode of Amy and TJ Robes. Does it feel like the tide has finally turned? There has been now, we can say, a shift, and cooler heads seem to be prevailing in Minneapolis.
Absolutely, yes, and it's about time. It's sad that it took three public killings for this to happen, but yes, Alex Preddy's killing has absolutely, and the reaction to it and the videos that don't agree with the statements, all of that has built up to a point now where finally we are seeing some...

Chapter 5: How has the tone of leadership changed in Minneapolis?
It's not reconciliation, but at least an acknowledgement of the other's position.
Okay, we went from get the fuck out of Minneapolis to I just had a good phone call. Why didn't you have the good phone call at the beginning? I understand the anger is there, but we had to get through all this, but somebody else died because these folks weren't talking on the phone.
So, yes, folks, what we're talking about here in Minneapolis as we're getting up on this morning on Tuesday, there is absolutely... A change in the mindset, in the tone, in the tune from everybody. So let's start with the update here, and let's not say everything is all good. There was a fairly ugly scene last night.
We'll tell you this first, folks, that last night, I believe at least a dozen, I don't think dozens, but at least a dozen folks were arrested. Rose, another one of these scenes we've seen at a hotel. They think Bovino staying at this hotel group of protesters show up. They've been banging pots and whatnot, but they were told to disperse.
So last night went up until 10 o'clock local time, freezing temperatures. But they arrested a dozen or so folks last night to get them away. They thought he was living at that or staying at that hotel.

Chapter 6: What were the reactions to the recent arrests during protests?
Yes, I actually read 26 people were arrested last night outside the hotel.
That is dozens. Dozens.
And they said that there was property damage, objects being thrown at officers. It got heated outside of that hotel because they were trying to make his last night a terrible one, or at least try to keep him up all night, which is just... Look, if you've got the announcement that the guy is leaving, that the president is making changes, maybe go ahead and...
i i shouldn't tell people what to do but it just seems like it would have maybe been in the spirit of saying let me do my part it would have maybe been nice to see that not happen but it happened and dozens of people were arrested they wanted to express themselves and right now they feel to some degree that they have an advantage that they are actually have um at least winning at this point because yes this is a big deal the face the name you have been seeing on the streets they're in charge of the operation
That is headline one. There will be a change in leadership on the ground in Minneapolis. And who you've been seeing, Greg Bovino. And you've seen a lot more of him in the past few days. And because of what you were seeing and what he was saying, quite frankly, is being pointed to as why he's being pulled out.
But Greg Bovino is being taken out of Minneapolis, being replaced by the border czar Tom Homan. Also, big deal. Trump, Waltz, Frye all got on the phone together. Separate phone calls, but Trump talked to Waltz.

Chapter 7: What did Mayor Jacob Fry communicate to President Trump?
Trump talked to Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Fry. All of them talked and came out singing a very different tune. Other headline, agents will start leaving today. You hear that, folks? That surge of federal agents in Minneapolis, we are now told, is going to start scaling back today. But Robes, the big headline today.
And look, Greg Bovino, he has been giving press conferences, and he was out in the street. We saw him throwing tear gas at one point, but he has been the face. This is a big deal.
He's out there. Yes, that face is gone after today, leaving Minneapolis today, along with several of those agents, which will be a cause for celebration for a lot of folks there. in that city. But yeah, he was the top commander. He is the top commander of Border Patrol. We should make that very clear because Trump wanted it to be known.
Chapter 8: How does the change in leadership affect local law enforcement?
He is not being fired. He is not being demoted. He is just leaving Minneapolis. And there are clear reasons why, as we've just pointed out. He literally was the face of that initial DHS response that was squarely pointing the finger, victim blaming, saying Alex Preddy wanted to massacre Border Patrol agents, that he was brandishing a weapon, none of which those videos show.
It didn't take analysis of the video. No. It was so clear that what he was saying and what Kristi Noem was saying was actually factually wrong. It made it worse, right? If you just say, hey, we're going to look at the investigation, we'll look into it, is one thing. So when they came out and defended, they were lying to our faces.
Yes, and not only did they come out defending the Border Patrol agents, they came out accusing the victim, blaming the victim, saying that he was just this instigator who was out to kill as many Border Patrol agents as he could with magazines and his gun. I mean, they went... Within what? Not that long after the incident, they quickly jumped and rushed to all of these statements.
And the problem is now you have a massive credibility issue. And no matter what Bovino was going to say, and frankly, Kristi Noem is in this category right now, we're not going to believe as journalists what you tell us now because you've just proven that we cannot.
Again, that's one thing if the press doesn't believe you, but the public doesn't believe you. They don't have to believe us. They don't have to listen to a reporter. They can hear Kristi Noem say this guy came here to kill as many agents as he could, and you're seeing a guy with a cell phone walking trying to help a woman up from the ground who's just been pushed down. It just doesn't work.
So they had a public credibility problem. And that, Robes, what you're talking about, is the thing that many believe has changed this whole scenario because of Donald Trump. He reportedly is pissed at how Bovino and Noem have handled. And coming out and saying those things, it's all been botched.
And he now has been put in a position to where public sentiment has turned, it seems at least, against him. And he knows it.
Yes, and he knows it, and he is acting accordingly. He understands, I think. Look, you even look at the Greenland situation. There comes a point where he understands where he cannot overcome the public sentiment. And you saw him do it last week with Greenland, quietly. confidently, and yet an obvious shift in rhetoric and direction and tone.
This exact thing is happening in Minneapolis right now. He knows when he cannot overcome a situation where he cannot force an outcome to be what he wants it to be. And so he is backing off to the point where CNN reported this, and I see you have it here as well, that Greg Bovino's social media access has been taken away. That is what they are reporting.
