Understanding the differences between conversational tones and presentation tones are important, but to be honest, emphatic stress and emphasis on particular parts of a presentation is what sets you apart. I'll give you an example. Here in Thailand, most presentations are absolutely horrific because they're very monotone, similar to British people and how they give presentations. Or, there's a lot of repetition -- or they just lack enthusiasm.
