258. Mural Meetups - The Power of an Artist Community

There’s nothing like having an art (best)friend that just *gets* you. But for those who don’t have an art-minded gang of supporters hanging around, the first question you might be asking is, “Where do I find *my* people?”🥁 Well, first I suggest searching online. Creepin’ on someone’s Instagram can give a decent indication as to whether we would like to meet them in person or not.THEN Google their address and show up to their house unannounced with some art supplies and say something like, “Let’s be friends. I know all about you already.”Jk… I mean, you can try that but maybe there’s a better way…Like joining in on one of our Mural Meetups this summer. Yea, that might be the less stalkerish route. 😜In this episode of the podcast, I talk about past meetups where artists have literally met their art best friend and have gone on to do projects with them all across the U.S.I also fill you in on plans for future meetups like this summer in Missouri and *JUST ANNOUNCED inside our Artist Academy FB group* a possible meetup in the Dominican Republic. 🥳 Listen as I try to talk you into taking a chance, traveling outside your comfort zone, and meeting a group of artist strangers in hopes of connecting with new friends and finding your people.
