We're going to cover off all the essentials. And then in the next episode, we're going to go deeper with 10 ways you can think about tax so you can identify some strategies for your own situation. So, Jake, maybe if you can just give us a bit of a quick intro to you. What do you do at the moment? Who do you work for? Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Yeah, definitely. Definitely. So, I started off at PwC. I am currently working for Vialto Partners, which is a relative recent spinoff from PwC. So, yeah, I've been working in the tax space for 12 years now. So, I mean, I really enjoy speaking. As you mentioned, we've done a few things now together, which is really cool. So, whether that be webinars with, say, sole traders and even, say, rideshare drivers or There could be, say, even as part of our broader tax team, even, say, CEOs and other business professionals moving overseas is another big part of my role. So, what does tax mean for them in terms of foreign income and everything else or vice versa coming into Australia? So, yeah, been in the tax space for a while.
Pretty passionate about it too. Yeah. So, yeah, it's always nice to kind of be able to talk through and potentially help people if they've got questions, jumping on a podcast and giving some clarity at least.
How is tax paid in Australia?
Hopefully, we don't muddy the waters if we go too deep. But yeah. Yeah, that's kind of a bit about me. I'm working within the AirTax team as well. So AirTax really focuses on simplifying tax.
