Wendy Suzuki: The importance of saying "I love you," according to neuroscience

24 Sep 2019

Description

"What if I told you there was something that you can do right now that would have an immediate, positive benefit for your brain including your mood and your focus? Would you do it?" With this starting point, Wendy Suzuki, Psychology Professor and Neuroscientist at the New York University's Center for Neural Science, has spent years inspiring a sedentary society with problems with excess weight, stress and anxiety. She is the winner of the National Academy of Sciences' Troland Research Award and New York University's Golden Dozen Teaching Award. Her research is included in the book "Healthy Brain, Happy Life", which explains the neural mechanisms that benefit from exercise and offers advice on how to have a healthy brain.
