33 ~ Men’s mental health, Testicular cancer & Bowel cancer : Getting vulnerable and making change with Hugo Toovey

In today's special episode, I speak with the wonderful Hugo Toovey, a truly inspiring individual who faced not one, but two battles with cancer. Hugo was diagnosed with testicular cancer at the young age of 21 while working in the Army. He thought the worst was over when he got the all-clear. However, life had more challenges in store for him, as he later battled bowel cancer at just 26 years old. Hugo's journey isn't just about his health struggles; he dives deep into the world of men's mental health. Having lost his best mate to suicide, he urges us all to take care of our physical and mental well-being. Hugo is on a mission to get people talking about their health and advocates for proactive health measures and building strong support systems. In this episode, Hugo shares practical tips for improving mental health, building meaningful relationships, and fighting loneliness. This is an important, vulnerable, and empowering conversation, which encourages open discussions about both physical and mental health and inspires us to take charge of our lives.
