About Carla Abruzzo McKean: "As a teenager, I competed in Miss Italy USA and when I won, I had the honor of representing the U.S. in Italy. I learned about nutrition and discovered that what I put in my body impacts how I feel and how my skin looks. I never considered that the makeup I was applying each day was almost as important to having vibrant, healthy skin as the food I ate. My career and education in the arts paved a path into makeup artistry. While I continue to model and act, I am equally as passionate behind the camera doing makeup on TV and film. When I started to study the chemicals in makeup, it became clear why so many people suffer from poor skin and acne outbreaks. I knew there had to be a better way and after many years of trial and error, I created my own formula. Originally, I never considered selling it to others. I created it because nothing existed in the market that I was comfortable putting on my skin knowing it would make me not just look great today but would provide me with healthy skin long into the future. More and more people began asking me what makeup I was wearing, and I began using Cache Cream on private clients and celebrities in Los Angeles. The response has been overwhelming, and Carlucce as a business was born."
