في قراءتنا لسفر الأمثال 14، نعزز فكرة أن الحرية ليست نفس الشيء مثل الترخيص أو الإذن ، الحرية الحقيقية هي القوة للقيام بما يجب علينا القيام به. نتأمل أيضًا في الرفض الذي قام به إرميا لعبادة إسرائيل الطقوسية وكيف أن جانبها الملتوي للجنس كان له عواقب خطيرة. القراءات اليوم هي إرميا 3، حزقيال 29-30، وأمثال 14:13-16. ‏Day 226: Unfaithful Israel ‏In our reading of Proverbs 14, we reinforce that freedom is not the same thing as license, true freedom is the power to do what we ought. We also reflect on Jeremiah's repudiation of Israel's cult worship and how its distorted sexuality had serious consequences. Today's readings are Jeremiah 3, Ezekiel 29-30, and Proverbs 14:13-16. I am reading using the Arabic Jesuit Catholic version from Holy Bible App which can be accessed on the app/website. You can also listen to the Bible in a Year podcast in English with Fr Mike Schmitz who did an amazing job. I am using lot of his comments in my reflection as well commentary from different trustworthy resources.
