#088 Building Instagram for Doctors — Dr Joshua Landy (Co-founder Figure 1)

Dr Joshua Landy is a Canadian Intensive Care Doctor and Co-founder of Figure 1. Figure 1 is sometimes described as Instagram for doctors — but it essentially allows healthcare professionals to share and discuss cases across the world. It’s been used by over 40% of medical students in North America and it boasts over 3 million users. They’ve raised a total of $23.5 million dollars. In this interview, we discuss the story of how Josh and his team built Figure 1, with a particular focus on how they grew and made money from it — as well as some of the big picture business decisions and directions they chose to go in.
