News when you want it with Bloomberg News Now. I'm Doug Krisner. The leadership of Maine's Democratic Party is calling on Graham Plattner to withdraw from the race for U.S. Senate. And several Democrats, including Arizona Senator Ruben Gallego and California Representative Ro Khanna, have withdrawn their endorsements and they are urging Plattner to drop out. Earlier in the day, Plattner said he was weighing the best path forward for his campaign after a new sexual assault allegation was published by Politico. Plattner is challenging Republican incumbent Susan Collins, and today he denied the allegation made in an on-the-record interview.
regardless of the inaccuracy of the reporting, but mindful of the political reality it will inflict, we are taking the time to reflect on the best path forward for the state that I love, the people that I love, the movement I belong to, and the goal of defeating Susan Collins. Those were the goals when we launched this campaign, and they remain my goals today.
Graham Plattner has one week to decide whether to drop out. He would have to withdraw by 5 p.m. on July 13th, and then Maine's Democratic Party would have two weeks to name a replacement. listing. The South Korean chipmaker is looking to capitalize on that surging investor demand for memory chipmakers. Here is Bloomberg's Ed Ludlow.
The AI investor knows that memory is important now. They've come to understand that there aren't enough high bandwidth memory chips. Those go into the data centers embedded around the outside of the GPU. And SK Hynix has like 57% share in that market. But from a sort of valuations perspective, they're kind of seen as the like discount name to Micron and Samsung. And so they just want a piece of that like US investor story. If the US investor loves AI so much, then SK Hynix needs to be here. It's kind of as simple as that.
That is Bloomberg's Ed Ludlow. Now, these ADRs are expected to begin trading on July the 10th, and the offering is already drawing more orders than there are ADRs available.
