News when you want it with Bloomberg News Now. I'm Lizzie Burden. And I'm Caroline Hipka. Two people have been injured after a Russian drone crashed into an apartment block in eastern Romania. The drone is believed to have been part of an overnight attack targeting Ukraine's border regions. NATO condemned what it called Russia's recklessness against one of its members and said it would continue to strengthen its defences against all threats, including drones.

Now, the US and Iran have reached a tentative agreement to extend their ceasefire by 60 days. Sources tell us that under the plan, further talks on Tehran's nuclear programme would continue during the extension period. While the agreement has yet to be signed off by President Trump, the news has raised hopes that the three-month conflict could be nearing a resolution. Speaking in the last few hours, US Vice President J.D. Vance told reporters that progress is being made.
JD Vance 1:21
If you look at what we've already accomplished here, assuming that we're able to get to a final agreement here, we're reopening the straits of Hormuz. We've already decimated their conventional military. And we're in a position where we could substantially set back their nuclear program, not just during the term of this president, but over the long term. That's a very, very good thing for the American people. So we're not there yet, but we're very close. We're going to keep on working at it.

U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance there. According to Axios, which first reported news of the deal, the proposal would guarantee that shipping through the Strait of Hormuz remains unrestricted. Iran would also be required to remove all mines from the Strait within 30 days. The latest developments come less than 24 hours after renewed clashes between the U.S. and Iran, which both sides condemned the other for violating the truce.

A Blue Origin rocket has exploded in a fireball during a late-night US launch pad test, shaking nearby homes. Here's that moment, recorded by a nearby witness.
Lizzie Burden 2:29
In a post on X, Blue Origin said the New Glenn rocket experienced an anomaly during testing.

What happened in Romania with the Russian drone crash?

Lizzie Burden 2:34
Blue Origin founder Jeff Bezos said it was too early to determine the cause of the explosion and described it as a very rough day. The rocket is set to serve a key role in NASA's Artemis program, which aims to send humans back to the moon.

SpaceX is targeting a valuation of at least $1.8 trillion in its initial public offering. Bloomberg understands the company is seeking to raise as much as $75 billion, which would make it the largest listing in history. TMX Vetify's head of industry research, Roxana Islam, says the hype surrounding SpaceX and its valuation is already having an impact on investment funds.
Roxana Islam 3:14
This is a really interesting stock launch. I don't think I've ever seen a case where a stock hasn't even been public yet, but it's had such a huge impact on the ETF space.
Unknown 3:25
Roxana Islam adds that she has seen at least seven space-themed exchange-traded funds being launched this year ahead of the IPO. SpaceX is expected to begin formally marketing the offering as soon as next week.

Anthropic has raised $6.5 billion in a funding round that valued the AI company at $965 billion.

What does NATO's response to the drone crash indicate?

Lizzie Burden 3:46
Both Alphabet and Amazon contributed billions of dollars to the round, which now gives Anthropic a valuation higher than rival OpenAI. Bloomberg Technology co-host Ed Ludlow says the startup's now a clear industry leader.
Ed Ludlow 3:59
I think you're right, though, to say that in the race against open AI, whether you say pre-money or you say post-money, it makes Anthropic the most valuable AI startup in the world, depending on whether you call SpaceX an AI startup.
