No, no, no. Not nearly long enough.
Carrier deployments are typically about seven months, and earlier this week Democrats in Congress demanded answers about this extended stint, but the Navy says it'll be replaced with another ship soon. Rescuers are scrambling now in Indonesia, where a powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake has killed at least 38 people.
In Washington, a top Senate Democrats raising doubts about the savings from the Trump administration's new prescription drug website, Bloomberg's Nathan Hager reports.
What are the health and safety issues raised by sailors’ families after nine months at sea?
The administration says the Trump RX site has saved Americans more than $700 million through deals with drug makers on high-priced prescriptions. Massachusetts Democrat Elizabeth Warren says she's been looking for details on those deals, but so far Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. hasn't provided them. President Trump is expected to attend a meeting at the White House next week that'll bring some high level executives from crypto companies and prediction markets together, including Coinbase, Robinhood, Calci, and PolyMarket. They're expected to discuss prediction markets and the regulation of digital assets. Average gas prices still were falling in July and so nominal sales would be a bit weaker for for that reason. Um but yeah, we were definitely not expecting that pullback in retail control group sales. That's a a pretty weak number. Um but it does make some sense with you know, we did see job growth, you know, pulling back a bit in July, income growth is slowing. Um so it makes some sense that people would pull back on spending. That's city.
How did the 7.7‑magnitude earthquake in Indonesia impact rescue efforts and casualties?

The two biggest sources of inflation to me are the war in Iran. Well rate hikes aren't gonna help that, and then the AI spend, right? So I don't see what benefit you get. I don't see any way stopping the inflation that we have, and you just hurt people. So I think no hikes at all.
The Fed held rates steady last month. The Harvard fund just disclosed a big stake in SpaceX. Here's Bloomberg's Ed Coleggi.
Harvard has disclosed a two point two billion dollars stake in SpaceX, showing how the university's endowment has profited from an early bet on Elon Musk's giant rocket company. Harvard reported it holds the position in its thirteen F filing on Friday, revealing it's one of the largest endowment holders of the stock. SpaceX is the largest single stock disclosed in the filing, which shows Harvard held four point three billion dollars of US. Equities.
