President Trump says he'll move to ban institutional investors from buying single-family homes, part of a push to address housing affordability. Trump made the announcement on social media. He did not immediately provide details on what his effort will entail. but he said he would ask Congress to codify the action.

Chapter 2: What new housing policies is Trump proposing to address affordability?

We did get a bounce, and we are expecting a bounce in nonfarm payroll. So in the sense of direction, yes, they may be offering some prediction, but in terms of numbers, it never works out that way.

Job openings have dropped to their lowest level in more than a year, and hiring has slowed, indicating most employers are reluctant to make any big changes to headcount. New JOLTS data show the number of layoffs in November dropped to a six-month low.
A judge has delayed Rick Reiner's arraignment in the killing of his parents, Rob Reiner and Michelle Singer Reiner. After his high-profile attorney asked to be replaced by a public defender, he did not say why he wanted to leave the case. It has been more than three weeks since the beloved actor, director, and his wife of 36 years were found stabbed to death in their home.
