I'm watching the plows go by on Queens Boulevard, typically a very busy stretch of roadway that begins just beyond the Ed Koch 59th Street Bridge, goes all the way to Jamaica, Queens. It's a six lane roadway service roads on both sides. Weekdays there's always traffic. In Minneapolis, people brazed freezing temperatures last evening for protests and vigils after a second fatal shooting there by federal agents on Saturday. Border Patrol agents shot and killed Alex Preddy, a 37-year-old ICU nurse, after he was subdued on his hands and knees. Now, Preddy had a permit to carry a weapon, which the agents found on him before the killing. The Trump administration is blaming Minnesota state and local officials for the fatality, calling Pretty a domestic terrorist.
