Gary Thompson, CEO Brixton Metals is an explorer focused on advancing its flagship Thorn Project in British Colombia, Canada. The Thorn Project is located on the same trend as the Golden Triangle. Brixton has continued to find mineralization and because of its exploration success, BHP has become a strategic shareholder. Erfan Kazemi, CEO Horizon Copper is not a miner or developer but a royalty like company which holds interests in Antamina, one of the best known copper mines in the world, Hod Maden a copper-gold project in Turkey, and a 25% equity stake in Entrée Resources, which holds a 20% interest on a portion of Rio Tinto’s Ouy Tolgoi mine. Claudia Tornquist, CEO Kodiak Copper is an explorer focused on exploring for copper in Southern British Colombia, Canada. Kodiak Copper made a discovery of high-grade mineralization in 2020 at the Gate Zone and as a result of the grades found, Teck Resources made a strategic investment. Greg Johnson, CEO Newcrest Mining recently made a strategic investment in Metallic Minerals with the goal of advancing the La Plata copper-silver-gold project in Colorado, USA. Paul West Sells, CEO Western Copper and Gold is a single-asset company focused on developing the Casino Project in the Yukon Territory, Canada. Casino has 10 billion lbs of copper and 20 million ozs of gold. Both Rio Tinto and Mitsubishi Materials are strategic shareholders. Sonia Scarselli, VP Sonia heads-up the BHP Xplor program which is an accelerator program focused on working with explorations companies. Sonia provides an overview of what companies BHP is looking for and what is required to enter the program.
