I mean, it was dismal. It was an abomination. Use whatever you adjective you want. Break out your thesaurus. This is about as bad as it gets in a single game. Now, does having a terrible single game mean that the season is ruined and that you have to think every player on the field is a terrible player? Absolutely not. But this was undoubtedly a brutal performance. Before the game, we talked about, you know, what you could say about Chris Bassett. He's not always Dominant, but he always gives you a decent start. We said he always gives you five innings this season. He's never given up more than four runs. Well, this is the time when he broke that pattern, and then the guys who came in after him did not help.

And every single one of those three hits was a single, and one of those singles resulted immediately in a pickoff.
