Yeah, I uh I had to check on my uh on my computer here. It is Listen, we'll we'll talk about the home run derby. We'll talk about Cal Raleigh becoming the first catcher ever to win the event. Uh, the environment around uh Trissfield in uh In Atlanta, but first I wanna ask you one thing. How was the concert last night?
Oh, it was good. Uh so um pup, uh my friend Steve's been on the the show before. This is the week where they're doing six shows in seven nights. So all in
Toronto.
Yes, yes, all across the city. Mega City Madness. Um Yeah, so it was uh they did like a house show on a rooftop patio um at a place called the Flat Top in the East End on Sunday. And then last night they played sneaky D's. Which is uh you know, every time I'm in there it's a miracle the floor doesn't collapse. And then tonight it's Lee's Palace, Thursday it's at the concert hall, Friday at Danforth Music Hall, and Saturday at History. So progressively bigger you know, from a fifty person show to two hundred to all the way up to twenty five hundred at history. So uh I'm not going to every single one, but I went to the the last two nights, uh, which was fun. Saw Kevin Mickey of Sportsnet at the show last night.
Matt Bonner of Sportsnet came out as well. Uh ran into some other uh some other friends as well. So yeah, it's a it's a very good time. Very proud of my guys and ripper of uh ripper of a show last night. They played a lot more like old first album songs than they like they played one song that I don't think I've heard them play live since like they were playing to venues this size regularly instead of as a bit. It was uh it was a lot of fun.
It's uh it's gotta be nice and and uh and it's nice of them really to have this marathon of concerts in the city during the all star break so that you don't feel as guilty to go to the concerts.
It lined up nicely. Uh I did not watch the home run derby until I got home. I just PVA way which also like the home run derby is very much an event that plays up if you can fast forward through a lot of the oh yeah a lot of the nonsense and stuff. stuff. Yeah.
Yeah. The timeouts and the and and stuff like that and just the the other.

It was I'm wondering why or if MLB Does put that up online, just a condensed version of the Derby, because there are condensed games, right? Yeah.com.
And MLB is generally very good and more forward with this than other leagues about like once an event happens, post about it all you want. That's free advertising. Here's baseball savant, where anyone can look up any video clip. Here's all our data. You want to use stuff on social media, go nuts. Um as long as, you know, obviously with uh with express written consent of Major League Baseball Sports at Partnership, uh you won't rebroadcast any. Any of that stuff. But uh yeah, uh it's uh I'm I wouldn't be surprised if they if they do. So um but it was cool. It was uh it was a little bit much on the Pat McAfee. Okay. Uh Otherwise uh I enjoyed the home run therapy a lot. Uh I enjoy.
Um One thing that you and I have spoken about I think off the air, but also on air, is that the lack of games and specifically the lack of Blue Jays games takes us out of a routine and I gotta say, I am with you a hundred percent now because this week feels so jarring and yesterday just during the day I was like, What am I gonna do? Like I don't have this lighthouse, this reference point of like this is where my day is going. It's like, Well, there's the Derby and I'm like, But it's not the same. Yeah, you know. Yeah, you
know and it's a little awkward to have like work be the north star of your day in the morning and the evening. Yeah it's maybe not the health most healthy and well-balanced thing, uh, but it is a true thing. This week I'm just leaning into it. Like I'm going to play baseball right after the show today. Don't have to worry about like getting home in time for Blue Jay Central or anything like that.
