For a moment, I thought I was back in Brazil watching soccer. And in that instance, I had good reason to doubt the structural integrity of the building. Not the case at Roger Center. feel pretty good. That was such a fun weekend. And and I so I have literally been covering a game when there was an earthquake before. I was in Las Vegas at the Thomas and Mac Center. I was this was covering uh NBA Summer League a couple summers ago. And there are two gyms there. And one of the gyms is like a rickety old, like you slide the bleachers out from the side of the gym. And the other one is like a standard basketball arena, um, structurally sound. And I was in the structurally sound one and everything starts shaking. And I was just like, Oh, this is nothing. Like I'm my I'm in the other gym. Uh this this kind of rickety thing happens all the time. No, there was an earthquake and the jumbotrons moving and stuff like that.
Uh and yeah, it really felt like that. Um, you add the noise in there as well. And I think sometimes with our senses, the noise can like make things shake around a little bit too. I was up in the media overflow area in the 400 level. For anyone who doesn't know, the media seats are like right by the left field foul pole. So I was like up on my chair looking out over the fence to see where that one landed. Um the one the day prior that Jeff Hoffman almost caught when he was in the bullpen and didn't make the play on it. Yes, almost. Uh same kind of thing. I'm like up and looking out and obviously we're not like cheering in the press box, but how do you not take a second to just like Emote at the very
least.
