I mean, every year with the Jets, it's the same thing. Now, I think the Jets are obviously in a way worse situation than the Mets are, but every year it feels different around here. Oh, man, I tell you, holding people accountable. New culture. Yeah, new culture. Oh, yeah. Man, Zach Wilson looks like a man. I've done it all, too.
I've fallen for it every year. Big ships turn slow, though, right?
Yeah. I mean, the one thing I did not do was fall for it with the Giants this year. But then again, they did have some energy with Jackson Dorff, but that happened later. Yep. And they still lost a gazillion games.
All right, so Cohen says good energy, good vibe, but at the same time, this championship drought has got to come to an end soon.
I'm annoyed. I'm absolutely annoyed. You know, every year it goes by, I get frustrated. And I'm really committed to this team. I know how much the fans care. I know we're celebrating the 40th anniversary of 1986, and that's just too long.
It is. And he says we've got to put ourselves in a situation where we just give ourselves a shot more consistently.
There's a lot of great teams out there. No matter what you do, it doesn't mean you're necessarily going to win the World Series. But I just want to put myself in position every year in the playoffs where we have a chance with a really good team.
And they have been ping-ponging back and forth a little bit. It is funny how, like, as a kid, I remember before they won in 86, like, come on. It went since 1969. That was like forever ago.
This is 40 years now. It was like double that time.

By the way, the Rangers are getting quickly close to the 40-year mark as well. Yeah. Yeah, time to get things turned around. Now, on the Gulf Coast of Florida, Yankees camp, we already heard from Aaron Judge. How about the guy that he wanted retained this winter, Cody Bellinger, talking about his lengthy free agency experience?
You work your whole life to be in a situation like that, and so you never want to sell yourself short, right? And, you know, enjoy the process, understand the wants and needs, and ultimately, obviously, when the decision came, it was, you know, a no-brainer for me and grateful to be back.
And so now that he's locked in long term, he did speak glowingly about the Yanks and playing in New York.
I really do love it. I had an unbelievable time last year. And ultimately, you know, I want to win it all. I want to win it in a Yankee uniform. I want to parade in New York City. And, you know, that's the goal. And that's what I want to help accomplish.
Serious question for you. So you are Greg Giannotti. You're the same person, but you're the second baseman for the Yankees, whatever. And you've got three or four teams that are coming at you. One's offering you $32 million a year. One's offering you $31.75 million. And the Yankees are offering you $30 million a year. Are you the type that would be like, I want more money?
