I think tickets are on sale now. I so I I I think if you're interested in going to see this on the sixteenth, you can look up uh like the the local theaters where it's coming out. It's on a lot of screens, so it could be near you. Uh this is a horror movie uh that involves the LAPD uh Bloods and Crips gang members in LA uh with a supernatural twist. It's a very, very fun film. All right. Are you a big horror guy? Huge. Yeah, absolutely. Huge horror guy.
What was uh the gateway for you for horror movies?
Probably Carpenter's Halloween. um and just everything else. I used to go to a local video store. And r I would rent stuff based on box art.
How do CM Punk and Dave describe the upcoming horror film “Night Patrol”?
So the crazier it was, like oh that looks like I'm not allowed to watch that. Like let's watch that.
And it would also kill you too, because you would take it and it would be the worst movie but had the great art on the cover of the VHS. Yeah, but it's the absolute worst movie.
I love that stuff. Uh Night Patrol is far from the worst movie, but it is a throwback. We got a great poster that like if I was a kid and I saw this poster, I'd be like, Oh yeah, I'm I'm I'm watching this. This looks crazy. Uh universal horror movie fan? Yeah, huge. Favorite favorite one? Favorite character? Creature. I would strip and show you the my creature tattoo, but um I I don't even know if I'd be able to get my shirt off over my head at this point. It's
radio, it's radio, so it wouldn't really work anyway. So
Yeah, and you know, obviously big Wolfman fan, that's I Larry was named after Wolfman, Larry Talbot. Uh Yeah, I uh the the universal monsters I think uh less of a gateway because I think I I discovered like modern horror before those, but you know, those are the like the pillars, you know, like the um of horror. So yeah, it's always fun to go back and watch those.
You know, for me it's funny because, you know, generation me being older, obviously I started watching before there was the video stores and the VHS. It was the trailers that I would see on TV. Like back in the seventies they would show like uh commercials for It's Alive and Dawn of the Dead, like after Gilligan's Island and stuff like that. So like that was always like kind of my gateway. And and when the VHS stores opened, it was like, Oh my God, now I can see any movie I wanted. And they didn't care how old you were either. They let you rent anything that you wanted. So
Capitalism baby. You got the money? Yeah, yeah. Tech that's how I saw Texas Changel Masker. I think I was like eight. I should I shouldn't be watching it. No,
but yeah and and and that's a that's a great example of like you're watching that movie and it almost feels like I wish I would have known that John Larquette from Nightcourt did the narration before I watched it, because maybe the scariest thing was the narration going into that movie.
The magic of that movie is you know, and I watched it at such a young, impressionable age that they and they hit you with the this is a true story. Yeah. And you're just like, oh Well, they're not gonna lie. They can't lie. They can't lie about that. This really ha and Man, it's just it's so plausible in your your unformed brain that like, yeah, this is what Texas is like. Yeah, it's it's
yeah, this is it's it's a hundred and fifteen degrees and you have the possibility of being murdered. Yeah. Yeah. Thinking, Oh my God, this is a hundred percent real and then you find out later that
Yeah. Yeah.
It's kinda like watching uh Unreal on Netflix and now you expose everything. Yeah, now you can just go out now you can just go
on Twitter and like just watch people get killed all the like all day for real.
