And then beyond that, Tony Storm and Orange Cassidy uh beat Marina Shaffir and Wheeler Utah with Wheeler Utah having to cut his hair, hangman Adam Page over Andrade, as we've talked about, Kyle Fletcher beating Mark Briscoe in the the latter match, and MJF over Brody King for the title.
Justin, do you think Did it do a disservice to guys like Ciampa and Andrade to have them have these big wins and then all of a sudden it go the other direction so quickly thereafter?
The Tommaso Champa um thing kind of baffles me. I mean, great debut. Surprise. Great music, great presentation. Really I think has everybody buzzing. And then makes a statement getting that title win. I I don't understand like well I I don't understand winning the title and then having him drop it. A week and a half later. I get if you want Fletcher to go to Australia where he's from. uh as a champion. I get that. If that's the case don't have Champa win it in the first place. I i if you or if you want Champa to hold a title Just delay that by a month, right? I mean, uh, you know, delay either delay him winning or delay his debut by a month. If you want to make the impact if he comes in It wins it right away. I th that that baffled me.
You know, that was a That was an easy Monday morning quarterback. Um critique that I just I I just couldn't wrap my head around. Um So yeah, I I mean and and I'm sure and again, kind of what I was last saying about Brody King before uh the world decided to go dark on me here. Um it's it's kind of like it's all right it's it's next steps. It's you know, okay, so what am I gonna see from Champion next? You know, so it's but yeah, that that was baffling to me. Andrade I think Andrade's got some momentum. Andrade has he's had the weirdest he's had the weirdest few years, right? You know, he he's in WWE. He he he was a s a star in the NXT black and gold days, goes to Bain roster. You know, doesn't you know, isn't booked well by Vince, join the club.
Leaves goes to AEW. uh kind of falls, you know, in in you know, falls into the gets lost in the mix there, leaves, comes back to WWE, all kinds of buzz for a moment, booked a little bit. And then it just kind of flounders out. Then he goes back to AW for a week. And then apparently there's contractual cease and desist issues. So he's good he's he's nowhere to be seen in AW for three months and then he's back. So they have to get some kind of uh momentum with Andrade. I do think they are they're in in the moving in the right direction with that. So good for him. Because he he's very good. Andrade's very good. He he might not be much of a promo ever. Um but You know, from bell to bell th the the guy can get it done for sure.
I feel like it happened with all three of those guys we just mentioned. And you know, you could take it how you want with each, but Brody King squashes MJF and then loses to MJF. Andrade beats Kenny Omega and then loses the hangman Adam Page. And Ciampa, I I think uh, you know, was the I'm with you there. I feel like that was the most head scratching one, especially because it involves a title.
