I'm your host, Tommy Dreamer, and Dynamite from Las Vegas, and a huge main event with massive ramifications Andrade versus Kenny Omega, and I'm gonna talk about it right now. This is the Busted Open. Podcast. Tonight's show was very, very wrestling centric. Um, which is why I kind of for this busted open after dark, I decided to say, hey. What do you feel is the match of the night? And I got Andre the producing giant. He'll put up a graphic. Um And I'll listen to your votes and I'll give you my opinion. Um of all of that. And again I think they did a good job of getting us to Collision? Like I love the opener. The opener had that old school Saturday's main event feel of what was happening tonight.
Um got us some interesting matches to collision and of course everything is going to Grand Slam. Um promos not really bigger talking points tonight. It really was the wrestling and um Ah from all the matches were s were friggin' awesome. They really and truly were. Um and again, like I said, much different from what you saw Monday, what you saw Tuesday, and now what you see uh today. Uh I'm gonna get into I guess the match that had the biggest ramifications is this continuous story with MJF being the world champion. Uh he is in a qualifier match tonight against Brody King that was been set up and brewing for weeks and again they're all trying Trying to get to Australia.

Um but the biggest, you know. Concentration has been around and The world title and that world title pitcher Between swerve strickland Um, Andrade, Kenny Omega, Hangman Page, and the list goes on and on for everybody of course who wants it, but Tonight specifically we saw a really, really Excellent match between Andrade and And Kenny Omega. Don't know. Um if they ever worked before, I believe they did, but they have amazing chemistry. Since Andrade has returned to AEW, the guy has been awesome. I've always been a big fan. Like I said, I thought he was the one of the many leaders during the Covid era. uh in pro wrestling and then you know kinda I don't want to say dropped off but didn't have as much oomph as he did from WWE back to AEW back to WWE and now I think we're seeing a way better version of him.
He looks great. Uh he's leaner. His move set is and he's got his move set is friggin' awesome. I mean guy could do anything as well as uh There's two real things that have changed that give him more character, this like uh Latin lover type with, you know, the girls in the audience, as well as The heat magnet himself, Don Callus, with Don Callis in your corner. Just think about it. They're doing nothing and they're saying F Don Callas. Stuff like that helps. I also liked Lance uh Archer being kind of Don Callus' muscle. Um Don doing again the simplest things when Andrade's Pyro goes off. Don actually hides. He first sells the flames, which if you've ever been around them, you do feel that heat. But then the other part is he sells the flames and you know actually gets behind uh Lance Archer, who's kind of like, you know, Secret Service bodyguard.
Then he acts like the tough guy. Short rampway, uh configuration is is weird at the palms. It's a really big stage. Um you can go super long with a with the walkway, or it's just like a weird configuration how it is. It looks great on television. I do. I love that video that venue for um shooting television. Um And the crowd at times again this is this is an ongoing issue for every company audio and live sometimes it's deafening. T television doesn't come across that way. Um they were alive for a lot of it, but it wasn't like super duper loud. And then I'm literally texting a few of my friends that work there and they're like, Like, how's the sound there? And it's like, it's packed. That building specifically, it's like three to four stories up.
So if you've been there, you've experienced that energy. I've wrestled there so many times, but you've also experienced and noise travels up. So I think that's one of the the main acoustics to that venue. But again, love, it reminds me of Hammerstein uh and packed and full.
