Why does Denise say this week’s TNA IMPACT episode is better than last week’s?
Hey guys, this is Denise Salcedo and welcome to the Busted Open After Dark podcast. To kick off the show, I reacted tonight's TNA impact and spoiler alert, it was a lot better than last week.
This is the Busted Open Podcast.
We have a lot of news that came out of today's episode from TNA, so we'll get to that. So we got a lot of news. We got a lot of storyline stuff that went down that we have to get into as well. But then on top of that, I want to start off by saying that this week's episode of TNA was so much more stronger than last week. That I think if this week's episode happens last week. Last week's discussion about TNA would have been entirely different. So I want to start off by saying that I enjoyed this episode of TNA so much more than I have for a lot of recent episodes. I feel like they definitely listened to the criticisms that people gave on social media. Um, I definitely feel like I saw a lot of things that I personally wanted to see changed.
Change on the show also take place here. I noticed that they didn't have a crazy amount of segments and they get had a lot of matches, yay, and each and every single match for the most part got a good amount of time. And those were a lot of the things that we have talked about here for a very long time that we wanted to see on TNA. But then on top of that, after last week's episode got a lot of criticism. Because there was a lot of new eyeballs on the show. I think a lot more people were voicing out their opinions. And clearly, I think that they took notice of that and maybe implemented some adjustments onto tonight's show. So I truly think that this episode uh felt like a night and day difference with the way that we saw the show presented last week and this week.
So I'm gonna kick things off right now. Right there, guys. This is gonna be a a busy episode. And if you want I'm I'm curious to see if you guys felt the difference today. So if you're listening and you watch TNA today, do you think that today's show was more of the format that you want to see? Because if TNA continues doing shows the way that they did tonight, I feel like they got something right to where they can continue on moving the show further. And continue growing the show and maybe generate some more fans. Dial 877-344-4893. But now let's get to it. There's a lot to discuss here. So I'm going to kick things off. Let's see. I want to kick things off with the Feast or Fire, Feast or Fired match, because this one here implemented before we even get into the match itself.
We gotta talk about the news that came out of this. Trey McGow is back in TNA. He has been re-signed by the company and took part in this match. Now, some of you guys may be wondering, Denise, why are you specifically focusing on this? Well, unless you're living under a rock and you haven't been on social media, Trey McGow has been a massive conversation in the pro wrestling world right now. Right now, because a lot so the Rascals were signed by AW. They were brought in by AW. However, Trey McGow had been signed and then released. And everybody is thinking what could have happened in that very, very quick time frame that Trey McGow ended up getting released so fast.
What’s the significance of the Feast or Fired match and Trey McGow’s surprise return?
And later on, it came out. There were reports that surfaced that basically. Basically, said that this was a call that was made from the higher ups. And that means, you know, above Tony, which would be like Warner Brothers, etc. And this all came out after there were some tweets that were resurfaced from Trey McGow that were touching on a lot of controversial topics, things that he had said in the past that did not land well with executives. And so that led To them dropping Trey Miguel. And so this started a whole conversation of was that the right thing to do? When do we forgive people? Do people get second chances or are they basically screwed? Uh, even if the tweets happened many, many years ago, are people allowed the opportunity to change and grow as people?
Now, of course, this is a more uh multifaceted conversation where You gotta really get into the layers of what was said, when was it said, why was it said, and all of the nooks and crannies.
