Congratulations. I think most people were pretty much expecting for this to go down the way that it did with Santana getting the actual uh victory to kind of close out the show with a big, strong feel. But also, we got some new names that are now part of TNA. We are now seeing a brand new. Uh we got uh Sonia, the former Sonia DeVille, who's going by Daria Ray on TNA now. And she's gonna be part of the show. And then we are also we got the return for so Daria, by the way, is taking on more of a director role. Uh, so she's not gonna be wrestling from the looks of it. So she's gonna be doing like the authority stuff like Santino Morella. So they're gonna have to try to figure out a way to coexist. She's gonna be like the heel.
Uh the heel one on the show, and I guess Santino will obviously be the babyface one. But so that'll be fun. A whole new element added to impact. But also, we got the retained ret return, we got the uh we got uh a new person that's been added to the knockouts division, and that is the former Cora Jade, who you guys now know as Elena Black. We got that, we got a bunch of other things that we gotta get in. To that went down on this show. So, um, a couple of notes, by the way. So I literally just came off of a live stream, and these are kind of the the comments and the overall consensus that I kind of got from talking to people online about how they felt about today's show. So, from the looks of it, TNA got a lot of people today that have not seen the show, and I'm talking
Talking years. I was chatting with a lot of fans that were like, I haven't seen TNA since 2009. I haven't seen TNA since their spike TV days. Or, you know, I got those people that are casual listeners, casual watchers of TNA. So
How did longtime fans react to the limited wrestling and heavy segment format?
All in all, to say that today was almost like a first date experience for a lot of people that haven't been watching TNA religiously. And here's what I got from this. So, based off, I guess you can say the survey of the landscape, there were a lot of people that had mixed feelings about this show. I think a lot of people were surprised by how little. Wrestling, there actually was on the show. That was the biggest uh feedback that I got from fans that were watching for the first time in a long time. Was there really wasn't that much wrestling on the show? There were three matches. Now, that was essentially what was promoted, by the way. The three matches that were promoted is what we got, except for the minus match from uh Leon Slater.
We didn't get that match, so that match was. Taken off. TNA did have to go through some things where uh you know Leon Slater was, you know, gonna be. There's been a lot of changes. As we know, Myron Reed is now over on the AW side. Then we got situations they had some visa issues with some people. Uh Danny Luna, who's one of them, is no longer on the Genesis card. So there was a lot of changes. Uh, Leon Slater is also gonna be, I think he was pulled for a Um for a Europe show in WWE. So a lot of changes there. Now we were one match down on today's show, and it definitely did make a difference because we got so many, uh, so many back-to-back segments. You were going to get uh maybe not as much wrestling and more back-to-back segments. However, uh, some of you guys again may have not been surprised by that. I wasn't surprised by that, but I do know that a lot of people that were watching for the first time in a long time were definitely surprised by that. Now, the other thing that I do want to say though is I do want to give uh, of course, TNA the benefit of the doubt here. But I'm primarily because I know that this when it's a premiere show, you get really excited, right? And you want to put so much on the show and so many things because you gotta have surprises and you have special guests and you have so many things that go down on the show.
