Let's get into what everybody seems to be talking about, and that's the end of Monday Night Raw last night between CM Punk and Roman Reigns. Now, we saw a few weeks back CM Punk and Roman. Reigns and Monday night raw and we loved what we saw. We love the beginning of the story that's gonna lead us to a match, a main event match between the two. At WrestleMania forty two.
I really enjoyed what I saw from the both of them again last night. These are two heavy hitters. Getting ready for the main event at WrestleMania and it had that big match feel to me between the two last night.
Yesterday, when we went off the air. Or in the thread of the show, towards the end of the show, what did I specifically say to you about Roman and Punk? last night on Raw. Well you
talked about keeping that momentum going between the two. And then you talked about not having physicality. We talked a little bit about the physicality and that last night was not the right time for physicality between Robin and Punk. I said
If there's no physicality and it's just another verbal battle, it has to be on par with or better than round one. Question to you. Was it on par with or better than? Yeah, I thought it was better then. Okay. Was there one thing in particular that stuck out in your mind that made it better then?
Well, the one thing that got me going where I was like, Holy shit, what the fuck? and actually had me stare at my T V once they signed off and they started playing another episode of Monday Night Raw and that is the last line that Punk gave to Roman before he walked out of that ring. And that is about him laying next to his dead father. Like that was just like uh
wow. It's time to dissect. The last line of the promo. Yes, it caught you off guard. Yes, it got you to say woe. Yes, it shocked you. Did it fit?
I I feel like it punk and this is my this is what was in my head during the promo bully. That all the hate and anger Is on one side. And that's Roman side. Like You could tell like punk doesn't hate. Roman Reigns. Punk is CM Punk, a wise ass WWE superstar. I don't think he has those strong feelings that Roman has for Punk. And I almost felt like Punk is getting into Roman's head a little bit. This is his way of frustrating Roman Reigns. But then that line and the way that Punk delivered that line, that comes from A place of hate and disdain. That's the first time I felt like shit. For somebody to deliver a line like that and to go that low There has to be a place of disdain and hate. So it made me feel differently about it.
And I don't think it was out of place because now I feel like almost like they're on the same playing field now when it comes to that and that emotion and those feelings. That's how I felt listening and watching that promo last night. The last line
from me was Felt Very forced. Maybe I'll take back the word forced.
How did Dave and Bully evaluate whether the second verbal battle was better than the first?
It felt like it didn't belong. It didn't match the rest of the verbiage of the promo. I'm going to bury you next to your father. Are we to believe that CM Punk is going to kill Roman Reigns?
No, but he wanted to he wanted to leave with a line that left him speech left, Roman speechless. And that's exact like Bully, go back and watch. After no, go back after Punk hit that line on Robin. The bottom lip of Roman was quivering. It was quivering. Like he hit him hard with that line. Why didn't Roman immediately blast punk? I think I think he fucking he just Roman wasn't expecting that from CM Punk.
