We had a good time last night, I think, watching SmackDown primarily, primarily with the way that the show ended. Uh as of the you know, the last two weeks we have learned that Cody Rhodes versus Randy is going to be one of our WrestleMania main events. And Last night, Randy officially turned heel, attacked Cody Rhodes, and l made him he was a a bloody pulp. I don't even know how to describe it. Uh the beatdown that he gave Cody Rhodes, it was uh uh a a sight to be seen, that is for sure.
Denise, the whole the whole thing, I was not excited because it was too Levy Devy. It was two Hey, I respect you. No, I respect you. It was it was just a giant circle jerk of loveliness. And now Randy came back. I mean this is this is twenty nine twenty oh nine Randy. twenty oh eight Randy, the Viper. the legend killer merging at this point and that's what we needed. And you could hear the crowd. If the the crowd were loving Randy. They were showing Randy all this love and respect, but a lot of that is because of his past, not because of what's been going on right now. You know We talked about this uh this past year when all of the John Cena retirement tour stuff started and there was this process of subtraction.
You pull Randy away because Randy has got a polarizing enough legacy that w it would have detracted from John. So they had to send him away. So then once he comes back, it's all Cody's my boy. It's my guy, and we're brothers, and it's cool. And I love it. I respect Brandy.
What does that say about us though, Mark? Right now that you just said that was too lovey dovey. What does that say?

And and as wrestling fans. The thing that drives the industry is controversy. Not love. Now respect. Can go a long way. But We we n we need the fire. We need the b giant bonfire to watch. And last night Randy took a gallon of gasoline. to the ring and lit it in front of everybody.
He definitely did. And I think that's the thing that most people were waiting for was okay, we know the possibility is there for both Cody and for Randy to get really personal. And they did. They did. You needed to get there. And how do you explain? How do you explain uh uh um two men that know each other for as long as Randy and Cody have known each other with so much admiration for each other? How do You explain one man doing that to another one? I think that's the part that people are gonna really enjoy. And of course you can say, well, you know, Randy's really hungry to make his legacy that hey, he wants to reach that 17. And in order to get to 17, well, you gotta get a 15 first. Uh so I think that Randy really selling the fact that he's this really means a lot to him to get this championship belt, that he is going to do.
Do whatever he has to do. And last night he mentioned something along the lines of this was supposed to be easier. Uh, in the sense that maybe he thought he was supposed to be out there with Drew McIntyre. He thought he would have to inflict this damage on Drew McIntyre in order to get the championship. But instead, it ended up being his friend, Cody Rhodes. And I think that's pretty uh cool to have that kind of uh layer to the story where it's like, okay, Randy's doing what he has to do. Cody also wants to keep his championship. You know, he lost it before. I don't think he wants to lose it again. And now you have two men that are really driven mad for this championship that are willing to go above and beyond.
And that includes tearing down a lifelong friendship.
You know what? Denise sometimes you gotta break a few eggs to make an omelet.
