First, I want to talk to you a little bit about what I really like about TNA wrestling right now. So we saw him on the show tonight, and that is Mike Santana as TNA champion. Mike Santana, this is a guy who had a I had a prayer circle out for. Mike Santana, the TNA world heavyweight champion. I've felt strongly about him for a long time. And as soon as he became a singles competitor, I knew that he had the opportunity to be a quasi-heel or babyface, someone with the rough edge who can really lead a company. And then from there, when you think about it, uh when it comes to Mike Santana, here's a guy here that I love being the centerpiece of TNA wrestling. He feels like the guy that can make everything work together.
I watched him today take over and he's doing a promo and the fans were chanting Mike Santana, Mike Santana, because they respect the man. They respect everything that Santana has brought to the table when he loses the championship, when he wins the championship back. There's a lot of respect there. So I'm really happy that he's in this position now because I feel like he's gonna have some great main event singles matches for the TNA championship to elevate. Himself and the talent on that roster. So big fan of Santana being the centerpiece of TNA. Then from there, I'm really inter interested in this new look system. The system with Eddie Edwards and Cedric Alexander and Brian Myers and Bear Bronson. This is working for me.
Because sometimes you just need a fresh coat of paint when it comes to a faction. And I thought the system was good with moose in it. I just thought it was good. But when you start to see some changes with the system, I said, boy, this is going to be great for this faction. You have Bear Bronson, who I think is the wild card. I believe that he can stand out among the veterans in that group. I look at Bear Bronson as a guy similar to Braun Breaker in the WWE when it comes to being the centerpiece of the group. I was thinking about the vision. And when Braun Breaker was healthy,

All eyes were on him. And there was a reason for that, is because this is a guy here that could be seen as the next world heavyweight champion. So I get that when it comes to Braun Breaker. But when it comes to a guy like Bear Bronson, I think he's the wild card for this new system. I believe he could stand out in a big way. And then Cedric Alexander, turning from a white bee babyface that we've seen for a long time in wrestling to a heel, puts a fresh coat of paint on his character in TNA. When he did turn, it surprised me. And you we watch wrestling, you and I, all the time. And you can predict, well, maybe it's gonna be a turn, maybe something else will happen. We can kind of make some predictions.
Sometimes they come through, sometimes they don't. But when I saw Cedric Alexander turn heel to go with this new look system, I go, oh, oh, how about this now? Uh it's funny because on the Sunday edition of Busted Open that I uh co-host with Justin Labar, we had Alexander. Alexander on. And he was talking about his career and very happy about what's going on. But I think that this gives him a little bit of a resurgence in his career with TNA, being a heel in this system group. And then Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards are solid veterans who bring a lot of credibility to the table for this group. So from Mike Santana to the system, I think that there's guys that TNA can build on. Because a lot of these guys I'm talking about, they're all veterans.
They've been there and done that, but now they're in kind of different roles. And I just think that that helps with this iteration of TNA. A couple other guys I really like on the TNA show, and that is Vincent and Dutch The Righteous. So I've been a big fan of Vincent and Dutch for a long time. I think they've always need the right opportunity to shine.
