Before we even talk about what we're going to see on Monday, Justin, we just the this the idea. that for many, many years, and we always refer to the territory days and give to territories that respect no territories, no wrestling, no proaccination 24-7, you and I don't meet. All of this stuff, it all was laid out because of territory wrestling. And for years, territory wrestling was based on the local channel, the local affiliate that could help them, right? And so you go back to so old tapes and they think uh KPLR, channel 11 in St. Louis for having the St. Louis Wrestling Club, or they think channel the channel in the 30s in Dallas for um world-class championship. It's always those local channels.
And think about all those old promoters wish they were on a network. Work. That's the whole thing for Vince McMahon to be on NBC, right?

Which is just huge, like at the time for Saturday's main event. And like, so where we are right now. So now there are a number of companies that are on networks, but when you go to the next level, when you're on a streaming service like Netflix, this time last year, I think you and I were both just amazed. Like wrestling's come a long way. And now it's on Netflix. You're right up there with all the other sports. As far as being on a constant, dependable streaming service. And here we are, a year later.
Yeah, I mean that's the number one streaming service in the world. I I I forget the number of homes that it's that it's in, uh subscribers or whatever the the terminology would be. I mean, yeah, then just just just just look at just current context. I mean I did not watch the show. My wife and my daughter up obsessed and actually caught up all of it in the last two months with Stranger Things. And they were locked in for the for the th series finale that just happened. A few days ago and you know, WWE's doing this you know, cross promotional crossover with Stranger Things and Netflix, uh this this Monday for this for this big anniversary show and it's like No, Stranger Things was the number one trending
You know, and watch show. in the world this past week or this past month with with all the with the episodes. It's like When you just put that in perspective. In context of WWE is right there. In the same bucket. um being you know, being pushed by the same promotional dollars. It's just It's a wild, wild concept to think, you know, especially when you think about, you know, that that's Monday Night Raw here in twenty twenty six. I can remember the first money night roll in January of ninety three. And the Manhattan Center. You know, and this is little you know, just uh th this big deal that that W B's going live on a Monday night. Here's your main event. Undertaker vs. Damian Demento. Boy, how far things have come.
Of here we are. That was the first main event, but Um You know, here we are. That they are that now you have the son of Rick Steiner. who's one of the hottest and fastest rising stars they've ever had up against You know, one of their most established stars ever in CM Punk. For a world title and unlike Jay Hood. Unlike our conversation about Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes. And our conversation about the fact that we don't see a lot of world title changes happen in January. It's not it ha it has happened at the Rumble a few times. It's not commonplace. It's especially not commonplace to happen on a raw or smackdown weeks prior to Rumble. Despite all that I'm not so sure I know the outcome of this title match between Braun Breaker and CM Punk, and that's exciting.
