All right, let's bring in the good brothers because fresh off of doing talk and shop and being a part of Monday Night Raw this past Monday and there's a lot to get into. Let's bring in both Anderson and Gallows here on Busted Open. Gentlemen, thank you so much for joining us and appreciate the time as always.

Um, great show, great uh episode of Talk and Shop with Frankie Kazarian and AJ Styles and watching and listening 'cause I watched it on YouTube last night. Um and the and and again go to Talk and Shop, make sure you subscribe to their YouTube page, hit that notification button when so you're alerted every time there's a new video. But what a great interview with both Frankie and AJ Styles. And I want to start obviously with AJ Styles. A big theme coming out of that interview, and Natty and I talked about it on our show yesterday, is beating the house. Beat the house. So I'll throw it out to both you guys. How important it what was it for AJ to beat the house?
Well, you gotta understand, guys, AJ uh is his own man and he doesn't always deliver news in advance. Like we didn't know for sure he was joining us on Talk and Shop Live until about an hour before we went on the air. So we weren't a hundred percent sure the retirement was even real, as uh Carl made headlines saying Um over the week. Before we got to Monday Night Raw, because, you know, as friendly as we are, he he keeps to himself and he's a a man who makes his own decisions. So nobody knew for sure. And in our joking way, as we always do, we were telling everybody who asked for the last three months that, you know, I was making up all kinds of scenarios of where he might be going, what he might be doing.
So it was a little bit of a surprise that the retirement was actually legit.
It's you know, it's clear that AJ Styles can still go in the ring and do what he's always been able to do, which I think he can do it as good as anybody in the entire world still now. I mean, I I s we see what he can do. So I obviously wanted AJ to keep going. I wanted him to go for another five years and I know that he can. We all know that he can, except for the fact that when I looked at him in his eyes after Raw and I said, I didn't know if you're gonna retire or not. And and he said, dude I'm too beat up. My neck hurts, my back hurts, and I truly want to help train the next generation. And it was like, man, he's like, He truly means it. And and and I know that he's been able and he's gonna be able to walk away though with his health.
You know, he's hurt and he's beat up like we all are, but the fact that he can still Walk and he can still be a dad and he can still move around. I think he's happy that he's able to get out while he can on his own terms.
Guys, after the rumble, AJ goes to take the gloves off and then he puts them back on and we're all wondering, like, okay, why the hesitation? Then he goes, uh, then we hear Hunter post-rumble said, Oh, his heart's just not in it anymore. And we didn't love that comment because it's like, eh, if somebody's gonna say my heart's not in it anymore, that's more for AJ to say and not Hunter. And I felt that that was damage control by the company because he didn't leave the gloves in the ring. Then he go, then uh AJ goes on Stephanie's podcast and He's like, never say never.

And hey, everybody gets to come back from a retirement, don't they? And Stephanie's like, yeah, they do. Now we're all like, uh oh. The itch is already setting in. Then all of a sudden we get this, you know, Monday night raw. AJ does go in the ring, he does leave the vest there, he does leave the gloves there.
