I definitely wanna get the T because it was a matchup that A matchup when we were on last week I didn't think was possible because Rhea Ripley is tag team champions with EOSky on the raw brand and that challenge is for Jade Cargill on the SmackDown brand. But yet we have it. And it feels like as we're getting closer to WrestleMania, Natty, it reminds me what we're seeing and what we're hearing and what we're reading. when it comes to Rhea and Jade, this is very reminiscent of what we got last year with Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair, meaning it seems to be getting very personal the closer and closer that we get to WrestleMania.
Well, and that's the thing, is that like I I I I'm gonna look at it from two different angles. I'm gonna start with the business side of it. So here's the thing. I'm gonna th and this is just my point of view and like I take it for what it's worth. I don't want to see a match with two women that they just love each other and think that they're the greatest thing ever and they just have nothing but respect and everybody's sunshine and rainbows and roses and butterflies because I mean, I'm gonna be brutally honest, Dave. Like that doesn't sell a fight to me. And that's one of the things I loved about Rhonda when when Rhonda was at the you know, when she was in 2014, when she was, you know, at the peak of her career in in UFC, for example.
Like you love Rhonda or you hate Rhonda, but this girl can sell a fight. Rhonda could sell a fight. She made you want to watch her fights because they were so She was either people loved her or they hated her, but they wanted to watch her. So she did incredible numbers for for UFC. So when I look at Rhea, you know, now okay, she won chamber. Girls had, I think Chamber was amaz. I think the women's chamber match was amazing. I think it was just everybody had their moment, everybody had a spotlight. It was like, I I think it was my favorite match on the show. I'm biased because I'm a girl, but Um, I think it was really the best match on the show. But now you got Rhea, she came out as the champ. So of course, of course now Jade calls, you know, Jade, Jade, Jade, Jade's like, Okay, this is gonna be my challenger.
Now the thing about Jade Із дай ловський. And whether we love that or hate that or find that like To me, you gotta have bad guys in wrestling. You know what I mean? Because you can't have you can't have a hero without a villain. You you you have to have like because Rhea is so respected. She's respected in our women's locker room. She is she's one of the she's one of my favorite people that I've ever wrestled. She is She is giving, she is generous, but she's also like when the bell rings, she's scary. She she definitely brings out the the beast and people that she's in there with because she's You know, she fought really hard to get to WWE. Like she was a woman that came from the Indies. She loved this.
She she did this many, many years in her teens before she ever got here. So she's really, really tough. But Jade loves to be a heel. And I I do think the industry. I think we need that. Whether whether it hurts people's feelings or not, I do think that we need we need women to be heals in the presence of storylines. Now, were there lines crossed outside of that? I I sometimes wonder, because like I said, you know, I I I'm in that locker room, I share a locker room with Rhea. Um, we all get when we get to TV, it gets very busy, it gets very hectic, chaotic, because we're all doing a million of our own things.
