Yes, uh excuse me, I thought Well yesterday talking on the coaches show off the ropes, it was down to Ricky Saints and Joe Hendry and that's exactly uh how it went down. Uh enjoyed it. I thought it was different, I thought it was unique, and we have a new world champion in NXT, Joe Hendry. You gotta believe we're in the era of the uh we believe.
And listen, I can understand going with Joe Henry, Tommy, because Joe Henry Is probably and I don't even know I don't even think I could say probably is the biggest star on NXT right now. Joe Hendry was huge with TNA. Now he goes to the WWE. And now Joe Hendry could say that he is a WWE champion by having that NXT strap around his waist. Great ladder match. I thought everybody shined uh in that match last night on NXT, but they are definitely going with star appeal by having Joe Hendry on the top of that mountain.
Yes. Definitely had uh some moments for everybody. Uh everybody looked like they belonged, which I thought was cool. Um Ps some spots were a little scary. Uh the one four fifty while the guy was on the ladder. Uh that was uh you came so close to being having your face shredded on the ladder. Um but overall I thought everybody did good and it was it it was good to show like, hey, the future Of NXT in just one match everybody got elevated and that's kind of you know key. Shiloh Hill, like Really, really shined in a guy who has very little experience on television. I know he's part of LFG and you know, been training the PC for a while, but they've given him the ball and he keeps on impressing. I'm not sure if I dig or like the character, but his in ring is very, very impressive.
Um and everybody I thought did really, really good uh across the board.
I I I know I understand what you're saying about the character, but that's very WWE like where they bring you in with like a certain character. And he really doesn't have a lot of dimensions to it. It's very on the surface. And then as time goes on it expands. I I'm hoping that happens with Hill because I agree with you. I'm not that crazy about the character.
It's I understand why they do it. Exactly what you said. We saw bits of this on L F G, but not everybody watches L F G that watches NXT. And just like not everybody who watches main roster watches NXT, um, though you heard a lot of the the noise when they were in the Royal Rumble. Um You have to give them something. I know Bully, you know, is a big fan and, you know, puts over his IQ. It's just hard to Get behind that. I mean The only person who would tell you he was in Menza was Raven and but that wasn't good for his character. It was good for the Johnny Polo narcissistic character. Which, you know, or Scotty Flamingo, all that stuff. But where it got you later wouldn't have worked. He was like he did play mind games, but it's different.
As a baby face, it's hard. And yes, we're still getting to know this person, like all these new men and women, mainly men, what we're talking. Uh we have to get more depth in their characters. Uh Uh just to know why you fall in love with somebody on television.
Yeah, and and and I I think it's important on the ground floor. And I think he'll have his opportunity, you know, whether it's on the microphone promos and more more than likely where it's gonna happen is in some kind of storyline where you'll see an expansion of that character. I think that's happening right now. When it comes to Jada Parker and Blake Monroe, when they're gonna have a big match next week, which I'm really looking forward to because I think we're gonna see the expansion of their characters on NXT. But just focusing on that match from last night, it was an important match. I think everybody that was involved in the match, Tommy, knew the importance of the match.
