So Drew McIntyre, by the way, uh in his promo had stated that basically, um, there's a lot to get into, by the way, in regards to this title picture. So we're gonna kinda go a little bit everywhere. But Drew McIntyre stated that Cody Rhodes does not have a rematch clause. I mean that he's not gonna get a rematch at all because Americans can't read, and that was in the contract, it was a hidden thing in there, and I'm guessing. Seen Cody Rhodes just missed it or God knows whatever. And now And now Now, Dr Cody is not gonna get a title shot. So that leaves everybody wondering: hmm, what is happening next? Is Cody Rhodes gonna have a better chance at winning the Royal Rumble? Is Cody Rhodes gonna win the Elimination Chamber?
Because I think we all know Cody Rhodes still somehow, somehow, has to get a shot at that championship. Unless maybe just maybe Drew McIntyre. doesn't last long as champion. I hope he does. I don't know what's gonna happen here, but Mark, what was your reaction to Drew McIntyre adding that additional piece in there? Because we didn't know.
Well I I thought it was great for Cody Rhodes. Because Cody gets to travel the less popular road now. And the you know, one of the things that I said with Cody is Cody has established himself as a tweener. Like he's he's kind of been very hillish and This is the road that he has to travel where he has to re-earn the respect. In admiration of the fan. because of the journey he's taken. If he has to go and win the rumble, There's a lot that's gonna happen and has to happen for that to happen. Uh he's also got the elimination chamber. Uh to be able like now that he the he's not a guarantee. His his ass is gonna have to be in the elimination chamber if if the rumble don't work out. So like um I don't think that Cody Rhodes goes into the Rumble for the third time and wins.
It's just not gonna happen. Uh there's too much that's at stake for the Rumble and too much investment. Uh for people coming in. To the rumble. Like Man, we we we sit here and we underestimate, we keep saying, Man, when is Jericho coming? You m you mean to tell me that You're you're gonna bring in uh Chris Jericho and then you would have a Cody beat him? That that don't that don't make sense. You know, like if Chris got beat by somebody else, Then i it it makes that person that beat him Hate it. Like so you don't wanna do that to Cody. It just psychologists just don't play into uh a good situation for for that. Um But I I definitely would like to see uh Cody in the elimination chamber and and have his shot there.
But Denise Dm. The fact that we have so many options. It's been a while. It's it's like the attitude era. There was like ten dudes that could have been champion. Now It it's that way again. You know, having the the top the top three kind of Jigafatu, Drew McIntyre and Cody, but also Obafemi is gonna be a guy that's gonna step into the play soon. And then you have all of the guys, Randy Orton should be at the top of that list. And the way that the US title has uh elevated Over the last year. With Sami Zayn and Ilya Dragonoff and now Carmelo Hayes, like there there's gonna be a plethora of guys that can be champion.
And it needs to be this way. I think that we're sitting here going, hmm, what is gonna happen with the Royal Rumble? Who's gonna be in the main event of WrestleMania? What's gonna happen with Roman Reigns?

What's gonna happen with Cody Rhodes? These big massive players that you know are somehow, somehow, gonna be at the top billing for WrestleMania. And right now we don't really have clear answers. I don't feel like there's a uh a general That everyone is going, oh, this is the person that's gonna win the rumble. We're kind of all over the place with some predictions and picks and things of we might want to see go down.
