Paxley's standing on the the the corner there uh uh up uh on top of the the the buckle and comes off the the these the ring post into jade cargill's you know takes out uh her her faction on the outside and then Charlotte Flair is able to get the the win.

Uh, not exactly clean execution in the ring, but uh the the distraction was enough for Charlotte to get that win. I've been impressed in general with Jade's overall improvement as a performer inside the ring, but I I was kind of hoping personally that that she would get the win here. I I'd like to see Jade back elevated. But of course, Charlotte Flair is who she is. And this is more fodder for them to feud going forward. The baddies, um, you know, the best of them is had by uh Paxley and of course uh Alexa Bliss with Charlotte Flair getting the win. And that is how SmackDown goes off the air. But the way it's Started was also very interesting and intriguing. And there was a lot of good mic work on this episode of SmackDown, beginning with CM Punk and Kevin Owens.
We actually got that match set up. August 21st in Toronto. That is happening rather soon. You know, it is funny because after SummerSlam. You get so used to the cadence of these WWE PLEs like once a month. The next major one isn't really until October, I don't believe. So you were wondering how some of these stories would develop in the meantime. Well, we're getting Kevin Owens and CM Punk on a SmackDown in just a couple of weeks. But how did that go down? Well, it was CM Punk and Kevin Owens.

You ain't fooling me. This ain't some other version. You ain't fooling me. Well, CM Punk cut him back by basically going, you know, bro, they called me skinny fat. You're not world championship material. You know, look at you. That was that's the the paraphrase version of the promo, but this is what it sounded like on SmackDown.

Since the last time I was world champion and and look for the last ten years I've pictured winning that title back countless times and it's always great in my head, but I could have never guessed that something would happen to make that moment even better. Because now I don't just get to win the WWE Championship. I get to humble you and beat your ass for it.
It's good to have impossible dreams. Sometimes I dream so big it scares me and I can see right now that you're a little bit scared. Should maybe practice a little bit of gratitude because if it wasn't for me, you wouldn't even be here right now. You'd be working a nine to fiver that you hate, being a weekend warrior on the Indies, calling me, asking me for tickets to a WWE show for you and your kid. You say I think I'm the best in the world? No, brother, that doesn't work for me. I know I'm the best in the world and so do they. Look at you.
So yeah, again, look at you. That was kind of the the the message that CM Punk was presenting. The the presentation of Kevin Owens. You know, CM Punk once got criticized, I think, for for wearing a t-shirt into the ring. Uh Kevin Owens famously does the same with that that cutoff tee that he wears. But Owens made it clear that. That it despite what CM Punk just said, he'd still be there if it wasn't for uh old Phil there.
All this brings me to you because you You're out here proving me right.
