So you know what? It's time to be positive. And I thought you brought that to the table. yesterday with off the ropes with busted open after dark and i'm sure this morning so well thank you for that david you have to be i mean there's a lot of discourse in the world
Forget about discourse in the world of pro wrestling, but discourse in the world and what professional wrestling is supposed to do is take you away from all that discourse and just make you enjoy what you're having. If you hate something so much, why even bother watching it? And I say that about any wrestling show, including TNA. You should enjoy what you're doing, and if not, hey, go find another hobby in life.
I agree, and I think that with anything, if you're getting that bogged down in the negativity, it might be time to find something else to watch. And here's where my point is coming from, Tommy, before we get into the NXT, is as a community, as a pro wrestling community, which we are, There's certain times where we poke fun, we point fingers, and we go at each other. And I always dislike that because we're all on the same page, we're all part of the same team, we're all part of the same community. But then there are people from the outside of our community that speak up about pro wrestling that reminds us why we love it and rallies the community around. Case in point, I'm on social media yesterday.
And Rob Parker from Fox. And I think you know who Rob Parker is. We see him sometimes on First Take. You know, he was a frequent guest with Shannon and Skip. Rob Parker, who's been covering baseball for four decades, came out yesterday and took a shot at professional wrestling. And I tweeted at him. He tweeted back. So his quote to me was, let's get it on. So I'm hoping that Rob Parker is a man of his word. And he joins us this morning here at some point on Busted Open. I know that Paul Ehrlich, our producer, is working hard to get him on. So hopefully before we say goodbye today, Tommy, we're going to talk to him. Now, for those who didn't hear what he had to say, this is what Rob Parker put out and was everywhere on social media yesterday.
I'm just shocked to see ESPN, and I know McAfee was involved, and I get it. He's one of their personalities. Stephen A was there so that they could boo Stephen A, you know, and all that. And that goes with the territory. It just tells you a big guy when they're booing you at an event like that. But it was a big ordeal. And I just saw stuff online where social media, people were ripping it that it wasn't good. You know what I mean? And it was a lot of commercials and then four hours and they only wrestled for an hour and a half out of those four hours. So there were a lot of people disgruntled. But my point is this. I can't understand how people are still into grown men are still into wrestling. I can't.
We all went to the zoo. We all went to the circus as kids, right? And at some point, Kelvin, you grow out of it. I just cannot get over how older guys who are... sports fans who are sports fans, who watch the NFL, who watch Major League Baseball, who watch the NBA. They live and die for that stuff, but they have this soft spot for wrestling, and they're walking around with the belts, and they're going to a watch party at a sports bar, whatever it may be. I need somebody to explain it to me because I don't understand it. All right, here we go.
