Communicating winter storm threats [Ep. 339]

05 Nov 2020

Description

NOAA and the National Weather Service will be using a couple new products to help communicate the threats winter storms may bring to the Carolinas. The weather bulletins will help the public better understand the impacts expected from snow, ice, and other forms of winter weather. This week we discuss with Stephen Baxter, a Winter Weather Product leader from NOAA. Plus a look at NOAA's 2020/2021 winter outlook, which can also be viewed online at https://www.noaa.gov/media-release/us-winter-outlook-cooler-north-warmer-south-with-ongoing-la-nina.  SUPPORT OUR PROGRAM.
