maybe in the same town, maybe far away from your hometown, maybe in another country, please email in at chatamix at yahoo.com and say, we move from here to here, and that is that. Um...

141.899 - 147.888 David

Just had to chase the bin man up the road with a bin. Well, this is episode two. Oh, is it?

147.908 - 151.653 Joe

Yeah. Okay. So, yeah, just got the bin day wrong.

153.355 - 163.049 David

That's nice. So, that's even a bit of newness. Yeah. So, you're in your new house. You got the bin day wrong. You're running up the road. You're like, where am I? I'm at my new house.

163.089 - 167.215 Joe

Also, the thing I'm telling you, a load of keys, guys. Not that key, then.

Chapter 2: How did Joe adjust to his new neighborhood and neighbors?

348.807 - 351.05 Joe

Yeah. Yes, really, really important.

0

351.07 - 352.111 David

Great.

0

352.131 - 387.973 Joe

And I'll tell you why. I'll text you why. yeah so so this road was just over there a little bit but lovely house but not what we agreed we wanted area was yeah so anyway look to a few more houses so you go around and it's quite interesting because you kind of start knowing there's like three or four estate agents who are showing you how is it

0

387.953 - 417.167 Joe

no no lovely well I was going to say you end up having a sort of relationship you know what I mean you kind of become part of it right it's probably fatal now yeah it can do a shit yeah but you sort of go oh hello you know we're showing you you're showing again I've got another one that's a bit like the other one but it's got sort of got a bit of a you know something different or whatever and you go hello did any of them say oh I like you

0

418.615 - 420.357 David

As in they know you from the TV.

420.938 - 423.161 Joe

Oh, that's what you just meant.

423.181 - 425.343 David

No, did anyone say, oh, I like you in that thing?

427.586 - 429.949 Joe

No, I don't think so.

429.969 - 434.694 David

All right, just asking. Just asking. That's all I needed to know.

Chapter 3: What financial decisions did Joe make during the moving process?

687.466 - 693.272 David

Great. It was all to eat out of a shitty plastic pot.

0

693.292 - 702.375 Petra

But at no point was I unhappy eating out of a pot. I wasn't. No.

0

703.576 - 710.783 David

See, you say misery 24-7. I wasn't miserable once. No. Because you get joy from not spending money.

0

710.823 - 712.304 Unknown

Yes.

0

714.486 - 714.907 Petra

I think.

716.808 - 723.995 David

Why are you holding out a fire, mate?

724.015 - 735.103 Joe

Yes. No, I get joy of not being ripped off. There's a difference. It's true.

735.283 - 737.766 Petra

Yeah, I know.

737.786 - 765.653 David

Always someone trying to rip you off, isn't it? Yeah, it is. Everyone's trying to grab something. I really love that recently. Yeah. So genuinely, when you start working out how much to... That's when you go, right, I've got an opinion now. And I imagine Petra obviously knows you have, so she steps aside slightly. How does it actually work?

Chapter 4: How did Joe's previous home impact his feelings about moving?

1064.26 - 1099.812 Joe

Right. Sort of changed her mind, didn't really want to sell. But ours was like really straightforward. God, I've never been in a chain before. You know where you're like, oh my God. So their mortgage is being approved as their mortgage is being, you know, all that kind of. How big was the chain? It was only three. Oh, okay. But I don't understand how chains really start and end.

0

1100.382 - 1110.211 Joe

Still, if I'm honest. But anyway, someone was buying from ours and we were buying from other people. Oh, that's why it was a short chain. Because they were renting.

0
0

1111.152 - 1133.177 Joe

People buying us. And the people we're buying from were going into renting because they hadn't bought. So the chain stops at interest. Yeah. But even that was like, okay, there's a slight delay because they haven't had their mortgage approved yet because of, you know, the garden issue. And you're like, oh, that's there. Well, they've got to look into that now. And you're like, holy shit.

0

1133.257 - 1150.672 Joe

Did you feel stressed during this period? Or were you like, it's going to happen. No, stressed. Stressed. Because you just keep going. I'll tell you what it feels like. It's so precarious. Where you're like... All it takes is one of these things to go wrong.

1151.112 - 1179.254 Joe

Like we looked at something in this house, we were like, oh, we found out something about the house and we were like, oh, if that can't be fixed for an easy amount of money, we can't buy that. And we were like, oh shit. So then that would affect them and them. So that made me really hyper aware of going, well, if they have something about theirs, or ours, that's over.

1179.274 - 1210.032 David

And if they... And if you had lost this house for whatever reason, would you have gone into mourning? Were you like, no? Because I said something brilliant once. Mourning. God, what did you say that was brilliant to me? If this doesn't go through... then there'll be another house that we will be as equally excited about. Otherwise, we wouldn't be moving to it, just around the corner.

1210.813 - 1212.856 Joe

I wouldn't say that's the unique wisdom.

1213.196 - 1218.264 David

Well, I've said it three or four times. I've yet to get it proper. Yeah, yeah, you're right.

Chapter 5: What emotions did Joe experience when leaving his old house?

1350.726 - 1359.518 Petra

Yeah. Because you like the fizz. I do like fizz. You like fizzy liquid. I clearly do.

0

1361.641 - 1368.193 Joe

So we had a lot of... Oh, right. In my last place, co-op, you know, at the top of the road.

0
0

1369.274 - 1373.06 Joe

I've had a lot of petrol going, even though it's close, it's a walk now.

0

1374.723 - 1375.063 David

What is?

1375.424 - 1375.844 Joe

The shop.

1376.345 - 1376.926 David

The new shop?

1377.287 - 1387.762 Joe

Yeah, because, like, it would be literally... It took 40 seconds. Yeah. And now it's like... Oh. Right, I've got to move the sofa. Can I be 30 seconds?

1388.444 - 1391.428 David

Yeah, I'm going to make a cup of coffee. All right. OK. Cool.

Chapter 6: How did the moving process affect Joe and Petra's relationship?

1721.061 - 1745.534 Joe

Patrick couldn't hear me. And I went into their house, they showed me their garden, that was lovely. Neighbours next door, so nice. Do you know that's a biggie, isn't it? Neighbours? Your neighbours are. Massive. Our neighbours in our old place were lovely, both sides. And we've hit the jackpot again. Oh, that's nice. Absolute jackpot.

0

1746.015 - 1749.32 David

Well, you've only just got there, so let's take our time.

0

1749.34 - 1750.562 Joe

You get a vibe.

0

1750.778 - 1753.821 David

Yeah, but I would say you're the neighbours.

0

1755.583 - 1757.265 Joe

We're both neighbours, aren't we?

1757.285 - 1761.009 David

Yeah, but as in, will you fit in with their wife?

1761.249 - 1763.231 Joe

Oh, I've been nothing but charmed.

1764.393 - 1766.154 David

Oh, I know you have on the surface.

1767.556 - 1789.032 Joe

Yeah, that's true. What would irritate me, basically? Nothing's irritated me. No. I've been, everyone's been, genuinely, I'm not just saying this, everyone's been like, They close the road once a month for the kids to play on the road. They do that. That's nice.

Chapter 7: What funny anecdotes did Joe share about his moving experience?

1953.032 - 1955.432 David

Do you remember when? We wrote that as well.

0

1956.454 - 1959.199 Unknown

Yeah. When Dan Skinner went round and... Oh, yeah, yeah.

0

1959.219 - 1960.681 David

Sorry, did you just cut down my hedge?

0

1960.701 - 1969.578 Joe

Oh, ours was, did you just tell my son to say please or something? Because that was my friend's neighbour. Do you remember?

0

1969.778 - 1970.619 Unknown

Yeah, yeah.

1970.639 - 1989.1 Petra

She had no... Can I have a lolly, please? Wasn't it your mum that went, please? No, it wasn't my mum. She was given a little boy. No, it wasn't my mum. Kinnell. Say, can I have a lolly, please? I thought it was what you did with mum.

1989.521 - 2000.515 Joe

No, it was my friend Anna was given her little boy. Her little boy asked for a lolly. And it was like a split second after. So she hadn't had a chance to say, please.

2000.656 - 2001.917 Unknown

Yeah.

2001.937 - 2007.205 Joe

So her little boy said, can I have a lolly? And their little boy said, can I have a lolly, please?

Chapter 8: What insights did Joe gain about homeownership after moving?

2347.895 - 2354.704 Petra

Yeah. Wow. I don't know if he does now, but growing up, all our sofas were... Growing up, he certainly did.

0

2354.724 - 2363.575 Joe

He probably loved that. Because he's heavier that end than his legs.

0

2365.438 - 2371.225 Petra

You look at the sofa and you go, what were your sofas? Uh...

0

2377.972 - 2404.26 Joe

so the the it's an empty house did you go around the room yeah we sort of but you try and not get too there's a bit of protecting yourself as well you can't you sort of you sort of do let me just i'll just get that in the car you know there's a bit of that because you're like i don't want to get too Oh, God. But then I did literally look at it and go, flipping hell, 10 years.

0

2404.741 - 2415.816 Joe

Do you know we moved almost... It's been 10 years. We moved almost like two days after... No, no, a week... 10 years and a week we were in there.

2415.837 - 2418.08 Unknown

Fuck, I remember when you moved in there.

2418.1 - 2418.24 Joe

Do you?

2418.901 - 2420.964 Unknown

Yeah, we were riding rovers, I think.

2421.905 - 2446.313 Joe

It's really hard to explain, like, seeing your house empty... It's sort of... It's weird. It's really weird. And then... But then we kind of... Our neighbours came round and we had the photo. And then she sort of came in and had a look round. And we were sort of... We could have gone like 25 minutes earlier. But you're sort of on the front step. You sort of got to the front step.
