Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
Welcome, everybody, to the new episode. Well, have you got anything you want to talk about? Yeah, you know you do. I just said it. You went to the circus?
Yeah, I went to the circus on Saturday, part of the Brighton Fringe.
What, like in a tent?
Yeah, in a big tent down by Black Rock Beach. Not clowns. It was all gymnastics. basically it was first off loved it right good entertainment and i'll never do anything to do with the festival never go pictures like this we're going to the circus why not They don't think about it. I had a real, like, I want to see more live stuff thing.
You know, like... You still got that after the circus? Not as much.
But I want to say I really enjoyed it. A comment was called. And I was watching them go, and they were like, it's really theatrical and quite close to you. And there's lots of... So in between, before it started, they're all milling about. Who are? The performers.
How many people watching?
A few hundred.
Right.

Chapter 2: What epiphany did Joe have at the circus?
What did you think?
I don't have to imagine myself doing it.
No, so there's two chat with their hands.
You don't like guys standing with their hands on their hips, do you?
No, it's not that. They're obviously, it's a way of standing if you're sort of showing the world that, you know, you're in character, like being this sort of, you know, it's quite on the top because it's for kids and everyone, you know, it's like this. Yeah.
Are you all right with that?
Yeah.
Shut up for a second and let me just say my thoughts.
Well, the fact that you go, I don't have to imagine me doing that suggests you weren't comfortable looking at them to begin with.

Chapter 3: How did the circus experience influence Joe's perspective on live performances?
Sort of tatting and pointing your fingers.
Pointing your fingers in a dramatic way. So everyone in the theatre, in the... Ted can see over there whacking your fingers, so it's exaggerated.
But you don't want to do that, but that's okay.
Yeah, absolutely, correct.
And my question is, fine, why wouldn't you want to do that? Because it looks fun.
Yeah, do you know what? So much of it, I was like, God, they've got... Right, you're going to go, no, no, go back. Because I'm just going to say this.
Don't say what I'm going to do. No, no, no, no.
I was looking at them, and they're all in their early 20s or whatever. And I thought, they've got terrific bodies. Terrific weight. They have, actually. They're all good, Nick, because of spinning in here. But I was like, what a terrific way to spend your early 20s. They're going all around the world.
With a little gang of them. You know people hear you, like just here, it's just fucking bollocks comes out. Everyone knows you think it's a load of old shite.

Chapter 4: What unique elements made the circus performance memorable?
Oh, can I hear that?
Well, if you're feeling it, someone else is going to be feeling it. Yeah, but you're feeling it because you've got your fix. If I've heard 800 eps of this fucking pod, a bit of me would be going, hmm, not sure about this news.
So, well, why can't I work something out?
I love this about you working things out. About circus. Trapeze artist suddenly. Hang on a minute. I don't have to fucking judge him. I don't.
I had a bloody great time. Yeah, it's lovely. I didn't. I honestly, my second half, I was like, I'm not... You loved it. Good for you. And first off, I had the epiphany early. Yeah, great way to spend your 20s. Yeah, it was. Then going off to bloody Budapest next or whatever.
What about your 40s and your 50s?
Oh, no, doing that. I did start thinking about the crossover point where you go, I'm probably a bit old for this now. There's definitely, you know, like anything, you kind of go like nightclubbing or whatever. There's obviously a tipping point where you go, you know, this is sad.
But I didn't get into that. So you enjoyed it and you didn't judge them at the second half of the show, you weren't judging them?
No, at first, but I didn't really judge them at the first point. I just remember thinking, oh, like, I can't do that anymore. But I don't have to do that.

Chapter 5: What was David's experience at the Fawlty Towers Dining Experience?
Yeah, the Circus at Black Rock.
Yeah, and a shout-out to Sam Bolton Barbers. My brother-in-law's barber. I did that on the last show. I'll do it again.
Yeah, always at the right time, you say.
And the boys in porch light.
You say the boys in blue.
And the boys in blue.
Big shout-out to the boys in blue.
Shout out to the police force.
And the Brighton firefighters. Samaritans, big shout out.
