My question is this - I am planning to start a cut next week. I have my calories and macros figured out, I think. I have many instances in my past where I stupidly learned the hard way that my body falls apart when I am too low carb. (Lose my period, hormones tank, hypothyroidism, can't gain muscle, can't sleep etc etc) For the record, I am not underweight (and never was). Currently I am at maintenance: 2,400 cals a day, 170g protein, 80g fat, and 250g carbs. I light weights 4 times a week in a hypertrophy program, and get lots of steps and NEAT naturally. When I calculated my 12 week cut (with 3 weeks of diet breaks) I tried to keep my carbs as high as possible, but they obviously have to go down. I came up with: 1,900 cals a day, 160g protein, 46g fat, 185g carbs. I'm curious to get a second opinion about these numbers. Is 185 too high for carbs during a cut, or could I bump them up even more? I know it depends of course. I'm just terrified of having really bad biofeedback right away after making such huge health progress. I have about 15 lbs to lose, and might break it up to not stress my body out too much. I also don't want to be too much of a wuss, and screw it up by not going hard enough. Thanks so much!! (18:35) - I know I have asked this in the past, but will you have any mentorship opportunities coming within the next year? If not, where do you recommend I go to continue my education & just overall be a better coach? (29:40) - Hydrostatic body fat testing… is it accurate? (39:00) - Do you call your clients out on their excuses? —- Social Links: Blog – http://www.tailoredcoachingmethod.com/blog Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/tailoredcoachingmethod Instagram -https://www.instagram.com/codymcbroom YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/codymcbroom1 Email – [email protected] Cody McBroom Has Also Been Featured On: Huffington Post, Bodybuilding.com, The PTDC, Dr. John Rusin, Muscle For Life, Barbell Shrugged, Strong By Design, OPEX Fitness and More…
