Danny Seaimpín an Domhain - Leabhar mhí Eanáir 2017 / Book of the Month - January 2017

19 Dec 2016

Description

[English version below] Insítear scéal Danny agus a athar William san úrscéal seo (1975), agus dírítear go háirithe ann ar an ngrá speisialta a bhíonn idir athair agus mac. Is scéal é a bhaineann le roghanna morálta, agus a thaispeánann an tslí a ndéanann daoine ‘maithe’ drochrudaí, nó an tslí a gcuirtear daoine i gcás go mbíonn orthu roghanna deacra a dhéanamh. Ina dhiaidh sin féin, tugann an leabhar seo dóchas do dhaoine óga. Taispeánann sé gur féidir leo céimeanna beaga a thógáil in aghaidh daoine atá ag déanamh géarleanúna orthu, agus cathanna beaga a bhuachan trí chlisteacht agus obair chrua. Láithreoir: Róisín Adams Aíonna: Dr Claire Dunne agus Éamonn Ó Dónaill [Leagan Gaeilge thuas] This novel (1975), which deals with the special love that exists between a father and son, tells the story of Danny and his father William. It's a story about moral choices, and it shows how 'good' people can do bad things, or how people are sometimes forced to make difficult decisions. That being said, the book gives hope to young people. It shows that they can fight back in small ways against those who persecute them, and win small battles through cleverness and hard work. Presenter: Róisín Adams Guests: Dr Claire Dunne agus Éamonn Ó Dónaill
