Past Stanford gymnast now ankle and foot surgeon shares her story and preventative care information for the athlete

If you have the dream of competing for Stanford University or want to go into the medical field, this podcast is for you!  What I also enjoyed was our conversation as to why it is so hard for athletes to share their injuries with their coaches.  Tenaya West, competed for Stanford University on floor and beam and shares what it was like to be on a team that won the Pac 10 Championships and the NCAA Super Six.   So much insight into how the sport of gymnastics prepared her not only to do well at Stanford as a student but also becoming a surgeon.    Dr. Tenaya West is a podiatrist in Mountain View, California.  She specializes in the foot and ankle with an emphasis on pediatrics, sports medicine and trauma.
