78. Embrace Imperfection - It’s Ok, You Don’t Have to Have it All Figured Out

I was having a conversation with my daughter the other day and she said something to me that had me shook! She said “It just looks like you always have it all together and I need to remember you are just trying to figure it all out, just like me.” WOAH! From the mouths of babes! It made me stop dead in my tracks because Lord knows I’m not perfect! I don’t want you or anyone thinking I’ve got it all together. I’m human just like everybody else. The only difference is I work on me EVERY DAY!! I put in the work daily to make the best of every day. That is what she see’s the results of. I’m talking to you specifically today because as a fellow Encourager I know you are over there making everyone’s world go round and making it look easy! From the outside it may appear like you have it all together and while for the most part you do, I know you’re doing your best each and every day to bring our best and be your best. There will be those days where you are in flow and its a whole vibe. But on the days there ain’t a flow or vibe in sight, we fall prey to the myth of perfectionism. Whether you appear perfect to others or measuring yourself against perfectionism, let’s embrace our imperfections and find out what I think is more important than having it all together.
