Special Preview - Straight Fire with Jason McIntyre - 5 Biggest Takeaways From NFL Schedule Release Day

13 May 2021

Description

On today's episode, Jason lays out his 5 biggest takeaways from NFL Schedule Release Day. First, the San Francisco 49ers have the easiest schedule in 2021, and that could lead to a pretty complicated situation between Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo. If Jimmy G gets fat on a cake schedule, can the 49ers really afford to turn the keys over to Lance after the season? Second, the Cleveland Browns are set up to have another great season. The Browns have a top-5 roster in football and should be viewed as a legitimate Super Bowl contender. Third, the Las Vegas Raiders are shaping up to be one of the worst teams in the League. The defense is horrible, the offensive line is down 3 starters from last year and the receiver core is mediocre. Jon Gruden's team could be in the mix for the #1 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Fourth, you need to get on the Jacksonville Jaguars train right now. Not to say that they're a Super Bowl team or anything crazy like that, but the schedule is light, the division is in flux and Trevor Lawrence has legitimate superstar potential. Finally, it's time to start considering the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a threat to go 17-0. The Bucs return all 22 starters, Tom Brady is only going to get more comfortable in the Arians system, and their schedule is very manageable.Click here to subscribe, rate and review all of the latest Straight Fire with Jason McIntyre podcasts!
